I grew up in Louisville and played high school basketball there but never became a huge card fan even under the glory years of Denny Crum--a GREAT Coach-- his run with Daryll Griffin, the McCarys et all were fantastic...but for me it was always Kaywood and the Big Blue (although Tubby made it hard after his first year with a team Pitino gave him that included 4 first rounders in the draft)....Gillespie is beginning to get his team going in the right direction--and how about JODIE MEEKS? So ...who do ya like, and why? By the way..SEC football BANGS!

NOPE -Love Blue -but am happy we have three of the former " Big Four Classic " playing good ball - with Indiana coming on in a couple of years -i sense the center of the Basketball universe will return to this region away from Dukiedom

Big Blue Fan here i played my high school ball in western ky and have always followed the cats don't like the cardinals never have. Tubby was a good coach but his recuriting was terrible and that was his down fall i think. I sure wish porter would start shooting and hitting a few times that would really help patterson.

Porter sure needs to come on a little bit - that's for sure - he had to many turnovers again last nite i thought

What happened to sloan i think thats his namme, he came off the bench and sure gave them a big lift and even the coach admitted it but now i haven't seen him in a game and i think we could have used him a couple of times.

When i lived in NC (Fayetteville and later outside of Charlotte) I got hammered over the Cats constantly.....including by my girlfriend at the time who is a Duke grad....I'll give Tobacco Road its due, Dean Smith was as great of a coach as ever, Roy Williams is following in his footsteps and the Polack at Duke is no slouch..but hey..we are undefeated in the SEC (so far ) and good things can happen..and the Cards? Beat #1 Pittsburgh AND Syracuse......

Well, I never heard a Cards fan tell his kid to "Shut up about school, the GAME's on!" so if I had to choose...

Why not root for them both? Duh. When I lived in Phoenix, AZ for so many years, all of us Phoenicians pulled for both ASU and U of A. I don't get this whole obtuse rivalry between Lexington and Louisville.
Louisville's two to three times the size of Lexington, the economic heart of Kentucky. Not to mention, this city will end up with an NBA Team by the middle of the next decade. I wonder if everyone outside of Louisville will pull against that, too --- instead of embracing it like any other State that's got Professional Sports?
Sorry, Folks, I just see too much hate being exemplified towards Louisville - the LARGEST City in Kentucky.
