  Hello, I am new to datehookup and my big question is why do nice guys finish last, so to speak? I honestly don't understand it, obviously by my asking this question you can prettymuch guess that I am a nice guy. I want to know whether anyone knows why, has personal experience, or just has something to add on the subject. I am just tired of that phrase, and maybe someone can shed some light on it.

theres your answer...women are not going to come to you...you have to go out and find get them
then when you find the one you want, and she shows interest, you have to fight to keep her

OH GOD!!! YET ANOTHER "woe is me" thread.
Check out the other 5000 "woe is me" posts from this week for the answers.
It is most likely because women find whining men who call themselves "nice guys" to be annoying. Try another approach. Perhaps something totally crazy, like...uh...confidence and manliness.

They like spice... with this type of spice, is negativity.
But, that's what most people like or else it all becomes routine & boring. Just sayin.

This thread was to complain about finishing last. AND THAT is what no self respecting woman will ever want to tolerate. Most women want a confident man who gets what he wants without crying about it.
Take it for what it is worth. But trust me...you don't want whatever vulture is going to go picking through an emotional trainwreck looking for scraps. You want a real woman. And a real woman is not attracted to "woe is me" garbage. Most of these women aleady have children to tend to.

Being nice is a great personality trait and there's nothing wrong with being a nice person. So many men are under the impression that they were "too nice" and that's why they got stomped on and stepped over. Wrong !
The mistakes nice guys make are
Being too needy
Unrealistic Expectations/Premeditated Resentments
Idolizing a woman
Living for everyone else but himself and becoming dull
Making his happiness and existence too dependent on his relationships with others

You have 2 choices here...
1. be a prick, be called an a-hole for your efforts, but get the women now while they are young, fun, and ready to go or
2. be the nice guy. In 5 or 7 or 10 years, after the women have been abused and used from all the bad boys they dated and are ready to settle down you may get one. She will have much baggage, she will be well "experienced" (or used depending on your POV), but supposedly if you wait around long enough for them to date 30 or 40 guys, party, and have their fun (so to speak) you "win" in the end...
Good luck with the choice.

Who the hell keeps saying nice guys finish last? I almost always finish near the top of the heap and I try to be kind to everyone and don't step on people's heads on the way up. Women like me just fine. Evil people get their due when they cross me and I can be damn nice taking them down.
And BTW, true black-blooded b*tches finish last when it comes to me. I like Nice Women and I make damn sure they finish first . . . that is to say that I treat them well.

Well i have seen it first hand i was with my ex for 7 years and she left me for another guy that beats the shit out of her, when i took care of her she didn't have to work or anything she could if she wanted but she chose to stay home and take care of the kids. her friends had bf's that beat them and i always went to help. So yes nice guys finish last it sucks but its true
