We all seen those Ten Commandment items for living, I've come up with my own that is Biblically inspired. See if you would agree that it could prove to be the basis of a prosperous marrige.
)God is first and the only god.
Exodus 20:1-2 God spoke all these words: I am God, your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
out of a life of slavery.
3 No other gods, only me.
2)Hubands love and cherish your wives.
Ephesians 5:25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church— 30for we are members of his body. 31"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
3)Wives obey your husbands.
1 Peter 3:1Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 5For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, 6like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
4)Allow one day a week to spend time with the family.
Exodus 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates.
5)Love everyone around you, do not come to, or cause anyone to hate.
1 John 3:11This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. 13Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. 14We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. 15Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
6)Do not judge those around you.
James 4: 11Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. 12There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
7)Do not envy or lust for anything.
Exodus 20:17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
8)Live a humble life, do not live beyond your means.
Matthew 6:19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
9)Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow may never come.
Matthew 6: 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
10Do not do what is evil.
Leviticus 19: 11Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another.

Those are good and I would happily be submissive to a man and obey him if he loved me and respected me the way God intended. I have been with believers and non believers and believe it or not a non believer treated me better than any believer I have been with.

Not even God can COMMAND love. Sorry, buddy.
My advice, think for yourselves as a couple. Churches don't know crap about marriage.

Ayi yi yi...
which one's better?
Commandment 1.
Marriages are made in heaven. But so again, are
thunder and lightning.
Commandment 2.
If you want your wife to listen and pay strict attention
to every word you say; talk in your sleep.
Commandment 3.
Marriage is grand -- and divorce is at least 100 grand!
Commandment 4.
Married life is very frustrating. In the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens.
In the second year, the woman speaks and the man listens.
In the third year, they both speak and the neighbors listen.
Commandment 5.
When a man opens the door of his car for his wife, you can be sure
of one thing:
Either the car is new or the wife is.
Commandment 6.
Marriage is when a man and woman become as one;
The trouble starts when they try to decide which one.
Commandment 7.
Before marriage, a man will lie awake all night thinking about
something you say.
After marriage, he will fall asleep before you finish.
Commandment 8.
Every man wants a wife who is beautiful, understanding, economical, and a good cook.
But the law allows only one wife.
Commandment 9.
Marriage and love are purely matter of chemistry. That is why wife
treats husband like toxic waste.
Commandment 10.
A man is incomplete until he is married.
After that, he is finished..
It's all in fun guys

Do what thou wilt - Alister Crowley.
To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.

Amen!!!
I think it really bothers Satan to see people do things God's way, including marriage. He works overtime tearing apart even Christian marriages. Planting seeds of discontentment & selfish thoughts, bitterness & such. People are believing his lies that if he/she doesn't keep their vows then why should I or if only they would do this or that. It truly is heartbreaking to see so many families torn apart by the enemy.
..according to the Book of James trails have a purpose... to make us perfect and complete... lacking nothing. The commitment is part of the solid foundation of a marriage. We need to learn how to really love others, how to forgive, how to mediate on good things, and how to see the goodness in trails (and painful things).
Blessings in Him
