Is there anyway to look up an old friend through military records? He was in the gaurd stationed in Cullman Al. about 93? Haven't thought about him in years and dreamed about him last night. Would just like to know how he is?

if he was in the guard or reserve you can also send a letter with a self addressed to envelope the ARPERCEN,OLIVE BLVD, ST LOUIS MO...explain you would like to get ahold of joe soldier his last known unit and full name and social if you have it..may take several months but they do look and see if he is in the system..they write him a letter and send him the envelope to use at his discretion..j

I've used this before and it is a great way to prove if someone is telling you the truth as to wheather they have been in the Militry or not....
One of the Guard units had given me this same address a couple of weeks ago when I was curious about someone's Military background. He walked me through it on his computer, while on the phone with him, and found out the person was actualy lying about being in the Military and over seas..... The person had never even been in the Military!
So yes, it is a great way to find out and rekindle with someone, or find out if a person is telling the truth about thier Military affiliation.

You need to contact the headquarters that holds the records for that particular branch. If they are your records you shouldn't have a problem. If someone Else's I suspect you will hit a wall.
