Lou Rawls.He was preforming in a Hotel I was staying in.He was eating breakfast the next morning was I was too.He had two body guards on each side of him.I walked right up to him,held out my hand,and the body guards came between us .Lou said,"Shes okay". I told how much I loved him&his voice.He said,"Thank you"
I was walking in the fairgrounds and I could have touched; "The Righteous Brothers",Ray Charles,The Everly Brothers"

Jerry Capehart, he wrote over 140 famous songs, one little ditty was "Summertime Blues" that he wrote with Eddie Cochran back in '56 or '57. Everyone has recorded that one!

Let's see...just a couple...
I was going with a lighting guy in 1983. We went to the pan handle
of of Florida..some small town, I forget the name...it was out in a
big field. The 3 day show was called "Countrytime "83"
I got to go into Doug Kershaw's rv and meet him, and he signed
an LP for me. Much better looking in person than on TV or album covers.
I also met Tanya Tucker (she was looking old even then) rough life I guess.
Just got to see Hank Williams, Jr. up close, didn't meet though. He flew in
in a helicopter, played 2 hours straight without stopping, except for
some water, and kicked ass! Then got down from the stage at the back then
he walked right by me, to the copter and was gone! Poof!
I was a Parking Enforcement Officer in DeLand, Florida and got to meet
Tom Cruise on the set of "Days of Thunder" at night. Boy is he short or what?
5' 5" inches I think?? Still gorgeous and very nice! Very short meeting!

My stepdad worked with Mickey Gilley at a heavy equipmeent yard in Houston in the fifties, back before Micky became famous. Gilley came to dinner once, and after he left my stepdad said "That ahole thinks he can sing, but he'll never amount to anything". Of course, my stepdad also claimed they faked the moon landings.

I got in backstage at the grand ole opery and got to go into Roy Acuff dressing room. Met some others, tried real hard to catch Grandpa Jones. For an old man he could sure get on and off that stage fast.
