ok everyone we had a health fair in my workplace today..me and a few of the other coworkers attended it..got alot of interesting materials to read about health issues and got my sugar and cholesterol checked along with some other tests done..i was surprised to see that my numbers were alot better than some of the more slim and more active ppl in the group.....to my surprise i am REALLY in pretty good shape healthwise...afterwards i made a comment that alot of ppl associate health problems with being overweight...but today i proved alot of these ppl wrong...i couldn't believe that some ppl got upset with my comment...my question is do u look at a person that's overweight and assume automatically they have alot of health issues just b/c they r overweight?..interested in hearing some comments on this subject!

While weight may be an indicator it is that and only that, an indicator.
Heck, I've known much more heavier people than me that are in way better cardio shape and much more limber than I've been in 20 years lol.
Bottom line continues to be - don't judge a book by its cover.

i like that comment newlife..so often we r so quick to look at a person and try to size them up..i always get tickled when i can climb stairs faster than my much thinner coworkers...often times i leave them behind..they say how do u do that candy...i do remind them that although i am not out there running laps around the track..i do loveeeeeeeeeee to dance and that is a great way to get in some exercise!!!
