China is not financing this war. Why does no one want to look up the truth before they get out here in public and make a fool of themselves by spouting things they know nothing about. Maybe out to take the time to look up how this country is financed. I have only had a computer since end of Feb. and I was able to find out how money is printed in this country with nothing but the humans living here for collateral.
NO GOLD people , we have no gold to back our money. It is just paper and the Federal Reserve, not federal and not a reserve, prints money when the government asks for it and uses the population of America by allowing the IRS, which is the private collection agency for the Federal Reserve. One way you can prove it is that they could not take money from my account for so [illegal] called back taxes until I signed a paper for it. Do you think the government could not do that?
Of course you do not want to be told about the 'GREATEST THEFT IN HISTORY' [listen to the video] which is the illegal income tax. Would not want to find out your government has allowed the IRS to steal from us for almost 100 years. That might shake the men, and I say that loosely, and women in this country to stand up for themselves and will not just let our children and grandchildren be stolen from too.
As I said in the other thread 'where have all our heros gone'? Our ancesters who gave their lives for this country to begin with must be proud.

By the way if you look at countries in a shit hole of debt. It is trying to pay for social programs. Over 60% of the U.S. budget is programs paying people to do nothing. Or in the line of Social Security pay about 1% in of what the average retiree uses. You can not keep going that way and that precentage keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Next we will get sociallized medicine at some point and that bill will make the war look like all of you going out to buy McDonalds valu meal item. The medical field in the U.S. accounts for 1/7th of the economey. The taxes off of it are huge. When the goverment takes it over they will still make some taxes off of it, but at a much reduced rate. This loss in taxes will take a big hit.
For those of you who can not do math or your responses on here look like. The war in Iraq is about 100,000,000,000 spelled out one hundered billion a year. that is 1/2% of the annual budget.

I hear what you are saying Jay.....
I still think that 1/2% and untold suffering of American dead and wounded is more than I am willing to give to the new Nam.
I agree with the fact that too many resources are wasted within our borders by people who milk a system that is basically broken.....unless you are a freeloader and then it has got to be the greatest country in the world!

By the way part of that about one hundred billion a year also pays for Afganastan which I don't see to many people on here complaining about.

there have been countries who have had thier ass kicked, but some one else came in and did it a different way eventally and won. That is why we are not doing it the way the russians did it.

Not unless you wake up brother, you are sleeping with the enemy. While you are talking about the news in another country it's happening to you in your own homeland by your very own government assulting you in everyway possible to bring you to your knees.
What your government does abroad today, does to its own people tomorrow. You are looking at a relection of what is taking place on your very own soil. Your brothers and sisters are being murdered and your liberties are being stripped as fast as you can read this and you don't even know it.
The man who does not know what it means to be under psychic hypnosis, is already under it - Vernon Howard
What a great advantage for leaders that the people do not think - Adolf Hitler
The people never give up their liberties, but under some delusion - Edmund Burke (Irish Statesman and Philosopher)
Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we - George W. Bush (Freudian-Slip during BBC interview)
...if the American people had ever known the truth about what we Bushes have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched - George Bush Senior (interview with Sarah McClendon, December 1992)
Having projected his anger onto the world, he sees vengeance about to strike at him. His own attacks thus perceived as self-defense - (Course in Miracles)
The most powerful tool in the hand of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed - Stephen Biko (murdered South African activist)
The elementary principle of all deception is to attract the enemy’s attention to what you wish him to see & to distract his attention from what you so not wish him to see - General Sir Archibald Wavel
We would rather forgive the evil proliferating all around us than the rebellion against it, which we mistake for the true evil - Arno Gruen (Betrayal of the Self)

Krupa,
You can win a war like that it takes time and the right tactics to do so. We learned over whelming force will not work from the russians and are own experiance in veitnam. That is why we are actually look at the tactics we are using are similar to the ones they are using. Hit with a highly moblie force at different locations, get in hit get out.
By the way military history from around the world tells us that you can never say can't win.
Alexander the Great Tyre, he won and beat the city you were suppose to not be able to defeat.
The Roman empire defeated by Gingius Kahn. No one was suppose to defeat Roman.
No one was suppose to be able to defeat the British Army with out real soilders, but we did.
The South was suppose to be a push over and the war was only suppose to last a few months.
No one was suppose to be able to get through the Maginot Line in France however Hitler did.
These are ones I can think of and I know there are more, so to say you can't win is just plain wrong proven wrong time and time again. The key is finding the tactics to win which is always the key.

This war (occupation) has no valid place in history. It's not just that it has been a waste of lives, time and money. It has instilled fear, hate and mistrust.
You were so articulate about the Clintons. I take that as nothing personal. You are just venting on two people who have bludgeoned this country mercilessly, without having done any bit of good for its people. Right? WRONG
Well then, in that vein, do you have a similar epithet for Mr. Bush's great accomplisnments? what about the trio of Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheeny? What about them for leading this country into a quagmire of desperation and befuddlement. Who would you say has brought us to our knees before China, made us seconds to Japan, and given up leverage on Russia? Bill or Hillary?
Let me tell you this: If it was only this scandal that would expose oral sex to your child, he/she would be ignorant of this 'immoral' act had the Republican hate machine backed off and dealt with this behind closed doors. They pushed for this scandal to break wide open unfazed by how damamging it would be to the American image. They will continue to ambush, degrade and sabotage every good effort from the other side in the name of party politics. They have only their personal interest at stake. All that matters to them is what is under their roof; and those interests must in no way be threatened. One pundit had it right when he said, "we [republicans, neo-cons] are about protecting our wealth, they [democrats, progressives, liberals] are about sharing it." There are tens of millions in this country who are not asking for a HANDOUT. They are asking for a HELP UP. They are only asking the small but powerful majority, because they have the resources, capabilities and readiness to provide it. It will cost them nothing if they show a kindred spirit and a kind heart. It just might enrichen their lives.
No Thoughts on Larry Craig, or Mr. Vitter? How about Giulliani or Daley? Or the many other republicans who have brought shame to this country?
Be fair in your assessment of others. and if you can't be fair be quiet.
