Hi everyone, I a Convert to Catholicism when I was 24 or 25. I am amazingly grateful for the Eucharist.
This thread is for Fellow Catholics and Christians to post anything Positive of memories of Pope John Paul II or ways his reign effected you positively personally as a Catholic.
If you are not Catholic and have a positive memory or thing to Post feel free. That being said this is not a thread to come on and bash Catholics or the Catholic Church or Popes etc.
We have just came up on the 4 yr anniversary of Pope John Paul II death.
His love of Mary and the Rosary had a big part of bringing me to the Catholic faith. He had kind eyes and I remember being 11 seeing a photo of him in a friends house. I didn't grow up Catholic and had no Bible in our home. I asked her...Who Is He? Her Grandmother let me watch a speech by him on the Rosary. Ever sense I have a deep love for the prayer of the Gospel story...the rosary. He was indeed a good Shepherd. His deep sorrow in life ...loss of mother, brother etc made him able to be truly empathetic and loving to his flock.
I miss him!
Remember to pray for our current Pope and our Priest.
