Religion is an accident of birth. If you were born in another state or country to another country you would have been born a Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, etc.
The tenet of ALL organized religion is supposed to be "do unto others" and most religions feel their way is the "only" way. My mother always said,"Those who "preach" the loudest have the most to hide".
Jews believed in the existence of Jesus but didn't think he was the savior. They pray directly to God.
The apostle Paul was a jew who eventually believed Jesus was the savior. God did not want the Jews, his chosen people to eat shellfish, ie: lobster, shrimp, crayfish, clams, oyster, or an animal with a cloven hoof, ie: pork, etc.
I was raised to respect all religions. I'm always interested in learning. However, I have no patience or tolerance for zealots.
