HI wileyguy: I will talk to anyone from 5 yrs old to 100 but that dont mean I'm going to date him,we can become great friends no matter the age and if his talk gets nasty then I can always block him,no big deal.

Thanks all for voting and the comments. Skunkbreath, for me, you nailed it. I have made some great friends here... some are not in my dating zone which I had to change so that they could actually contact me.

Am looking forward to meeting some. One called (on the phone!!) this morning to say he would be here before the end of November. This friendship started out with his simple hello... do you think they would mind if I posted? You just never know.

it's ok with me if someone has closed thier mind and only wants to hear from a certain segment of the population but i think that the same filters that give me the "no contact" message should also prevent thier profile from coming up on my searches. it should be a simple patch to accomplish this, why not?

Yes! I have friends from 20-66 and each is unique. I've also received and given compliments to women, usually about a viewpoint in a thread. Can't have too many friends.

I've made many on-line friends here at DH and keep in touch regularly with them.
Soulmate, naaaaaa, Love, who knows, Friends ..... what started out as a hello or nice compliment
has and will continue to turn into lasting caring and wonderful friendships.
One day we may all eventually meet but if not does it really matter,
knowing that there is another person miles away who cares and makes you laugh is enough sometimes!

In thinking about it, I guess I should have asked if we would accept communication from one outside our age filters. Sometimes it is just something they say that makes me think. I kind of like that. Though it is nice hearing a compliment, too...if it is genuine

i doubt i'll ever "meet" even 1% of the people met online but that's ok, interesting conversation and differring viewpoints are more than worth it, and to be excluded from the possibility of making a new friend because of an arbitrary number doesn't make sense, and while it has been suggested that i could alter my personel information to make contact i'm just not comfortable with deception. any other suggestions?
