I guess for those of you that had bad marriages - that sucks, but I am a widow too and lost my best friend. Hopefully, the bad marriage folks will find that in someone some day. At the end of a long day knowing your best friend is there and accepts you for you, you really miss it.

Well ,I've tallied the votes and have decided ,I'm just going to shack up with someone .
Apparently the side effects of marriage has numerous ailments that give one head aches , ,heart ache, nausea and insomnia .

I guess,I should be thankful I never married .

i think marriage is wonderful - two people working together to make the most of life; facing hardships head-on together; accepting each other for who they are and aiming for their own sky...in it's best form - it's heaven on earth.

I miss certain aspects of being married..mainly intimacy..snuggling up on the couch to watch a movie...I still enjoy my freedom and still like sleeping alone..I don't miss marriage enough at this point to do it again any time soon..

I miss having a snuggle buddy who shares my twisted sense of humor, and I miss living with a guy who wakes up in a playful mood, but that's as close as I can get to missing being married.

I loved my ex very much and would have taken a bullet for him. I wasn't aware of "what" he was doing behind my back... I've been divorced for 10 1/2 years and haven't had a relationship in over 5 years. I did not expect to be alone this long. I miss the same things as other posters mentioned, a best friend to talk to and share your innermost thoughts, snuggle buddy, a sense of security, someone to hold your head when you vomit.

Of course. One should separate being married and being married to one who disappointed you or betrayed your trust. I am a seriel marrier. I love the institution, even if I may not be the best practitionor.

Marriage beats the hell out of whatever is in second place.

Yes. Only married once and it was a very long term one. Hard to imagine starting over again and going through really getting to know someone (since we all change a bit once living together-IMO). But generally yes, I miss it.

I'd say!! I love being Married! I think being alone is the worst thing in the world!
Of course many of you have never spent the night in a foxhole either, so living comes
easy for some, but it sure aint free, and I want some payback, lol.
