I miss some of the things that caused my ex-wife to feel the NEED to get married and conform to that trainwreck of an ideology...but I do not miss "being married" in the least. It has been many years, I have not regretted getting out of that situation ONCE.

i miss being with someone special....i miss the talking to someone special, the looks you get, the smiles you get from the one that you love, going out somewhere special, the hand holding and all that but it seems like when you get married everything goes down hill (my experience anyway)or maybe i havent met the right one yet....one thing i dont miss about being married is the fighting and constantly dissing me everyday....i am tired of being lonely but dont know about the married thing again....if only my soulmate was out there looking for me as well

There are alot of things I miss about being married. The emotional support (the few times it was there), having someone to talk to, someone to go places with (even if it's just for a ride), the warm body to curl up with, the sex, the comfort zone that comes with a good marriage. I have actually contemplated hanging out with my ex again, just to fill the void (thank God, I stood strong there) I need smacked upside the head for even thinking about that one. LOL To make a long story short, being single is not all it's cracked up to be.

I miss having someone there for me, I miss cuddling in bed watching a movie, I miss having sex every day, I miss many things about being with someone. Now do I miss the actually piece of paper, no. Will I get married again, the possibility is there but I will have to know that person for a couple years and live together with them for a while.

I have noticed you have mentioned your wife in previous posts and I am truly sorry to hear of your lose. To me losing a significant other is like a death. That person you trusted and had plans for the future with is now gone.
I miss trust, caring, the little couple things that are best not talked about in public ...........never been married but did have a 17 yr relationship.
Miss the connection but not him.

Yes I do, I miss the security, the being with that only one, the dinners out, the gifts every holiday, the holidays at home with family, my home, our son, my dog, the arguments, the making up, but for the most part he was the one man I got along with most, maybe thats why we were together 18 years.
I hate being single, hate dating, and the life is a box of chocolate thang, you never know what you'll end up with next, and thats pretty scary.

yes i see that to, just the opposite, i watch the men belittle their wives, act like the kids are not acting up, and making her carry the baby and drag the two year old, hunt for the four year old... while he walks ahead and not even opens the door... for her as she leaves the place... much less the car door...
I see men sit at dinning room tables with a nice dinner, and she is trying so hard to talk to him and make it a nice evening, and he has that glazed look on his eye, and looks over her shoulder to see the bar and watch espn on the bar t.v.
no.. i do not miss being married...

Marriage Nope dont miss marriage. I do miss having a friend, companion and a lover, and all that goes with that, but one doesnt have to get married to have that special relationship with someone. Seems to me (my experience) one or the other starts to get weird after marriage.
