Be grateful he was up front after just one date. I dated a guy for 2 mos before he broke it off and said there was just no spark for him. I know that rejection at any age is tough. It's not his fault or yours. Someone on this site said "It's a numbers game". Maybe they are right-continue to seek---You will find the right one! Keep the faith!!
