I wasn't going to ask, but I have to. I wasn't looking to date anyone for a while, but this gentleman from another site contacted me and we talked for about 2 weeks, first on line and then on the phone. He asked me out to dinner last night and I agreed. We met and things went very good. We talked, laughed and just really had a good time. He walked me to my vehicle and hugged me and then kissed me and he said he really enjoyed the evening. He opened the door for me and I got in. He then said can I kiss you again, and I said yes. After that he said he would email me from work. He did email me and and thanked me for the good evening, but he had to be honest that he didn't feel a spark. don't get me wrong, I appreciate the honesty and that is what I'm not questioning. My question is why would he not only kiss me once, but kiss me again. I don't know, I just don't get it. Any insite from both sexes would be appreciated.

It could be possible that he was hoping to get a lil something, even if there wasnt a "spark". Maybe he was hoping you would invite him home and when you didnt he just let it go!

Maybe he was hoping the second kiss would lead to sex... I have no clue... it does seem strange that he'd ask for another kiss though...who knows??? It will be interesting to see some male opinions on this!

Personally, I would think he was not after anything more than to verify the lack of fireworks. I am sure he enjoyed your company during dinner, was attraced to you, but if that spark is not there, he knew there is no reason to drag it on further. Be gald he was respectful enough to be honest, and give it a second chance before he was certain it would not work for him.

the answer is in the kiss. when you kiss someone there is alot of infro passed back and forth in those few seconds. i think most people can tell if there is ever going to be a spark there by a kiss. a second kiss just to make sure

I disagree with Bam.
He wanted to see how far she was willing to take it. He knew within 5 minutes of the date that there was no spark, but was willing to see how it would go if he behaved like an perfect gentleman.

I liked it better when he wanted the kiss just to make sure there was or wasn't a connection.. This other version is kind of depressing... (that the guy was just interested in getting laid)... I am not naive enough to imagine that sex isn't on any guys mind.. but I'll go back and pretend it was to see if there was chemistry. That paints him in a less harsh light.  lol

i had same experience last week on a date with a lady, i emailed her after great date that I felt a spark, but she mailed me back saying she didnt feel the spark...we are still friends, but now it dont matter if she goes firework crazy about me, it will never be that way for me again....
