if you never had a ruptured disk all your nerves run down your spine and with that ruptured disk pushing on them nerves well let me put it this way i had to fall to the ground roll over to get out of a chair and the pain is constant so if haven't had one you don't know anything about pain

i never had surgery but i did get shots the first one did not work steroid shot just made fatter the second one was a saline solution when i went back to the dr. after the second one i was still hurting he told he was going to sugest surgery will one morning i woke got a shower put my clothes on and when i bent over to tie my shoes it dawned on me hey i don't hurt anymore bent over touched my toes and knock on wood no problems since now there is cetain things i can't do for long period of time but other than that its all good

Hey I know back pain all to well to many bad falss barefooting nothing like a face plant on the water at 40mph.. I just thought labor was the worst pain..

hey klassy do you have a heating pad if you do go and get a towel and wet it ring the water out wrap around heating pad moist heat is good and every 30 minutes switch moist heat to cold pack that helps also just trying to help ya

I havent had the ruptured disc yet...but half my family has..and have gone under the knife for numerous surgeries..
I do know back pain though..the worst was probly 8 years ago..strained the latissimus dorsi..thats the muscle that goes from your shoulder blade to your hip..holds you upright..I was a cashier at the time ..and when the strain was at it's worst..I couldnt hold a loaf of bread without tears streaming down my face..it hurt that bad.
Mostly I get lower back pain, a disc out of place. I know all too well having to roll onto the floor to get up out of chairs. roll over to my knees to get out of bed.
Once last summer, it was so bad..I had to walk on my hands and knees to the bathroom, pull myself up to the counter..and pray I could stand long enough to hit the potty to pee...
I pulled or strained a muscle in the upper back this week..on the mend..but dang if it still hurts for some of the simpler movements. Sometimes to get out of my car, I have to sit on the ground. I drive a taurus.and I'm just too tall for most vehicles..with back strain, I cant bend far enough to get out of the car like normal.
Anyways..I didnt come here to gripe about my aches and pains..good morning everyone..
are we having fun yet?

moist heat and alternating cold packs? hmm I could go sit in the hot tub..then get out and lay on the ground..we got a couple inches of snow yesterday..
I'll go do the hot tub..think I'll pass on layin in the snow..afraid I'll get stuck there..lol..
