I met my honey in another dating site 7 months ago. After loading the free online program called "Skype" (free visual and voice to each other any where in the world just like on the cartoon the Jetsons.. my god it's sooo cool if you don't know about it just ask me) I booked a flight from California to Toronto Canada to meet him. I'm Canadian btw and he's around the corner from family.
Anyway it was awesome. Sex was out of this world and even more so because I'd been looking in his eyes and talking to him for so many months... and talking to anyone else that walked up to his cam, daughter, parents, best buddy. The only thing to do from there was to meet. Now we're totally beside ourselves with affection for each other but we have this damn distance issue. He has a daughter and can't leave her, I have 3 adult kids and found I just can't go 3,000 miles away like I thought I could.
We're stuck now and he doesn't know I'm in DH trying to figure out if I should just stay local. Local as in Cali, Oregon and Washington. I'm wondering if I'm wishing to find someone local so it would make the decision to break it off with him easier. My mind is pretty messed up and if you think the answer is as easy as black and white you're mistaken. Life is sucking right now.

I met someone very incredible on this site, too, and she is some distance away from me.
I used to assume that a long distance relationship was out of the question, but she has me questioning that supposition.
There's no easy answers when it comes to substantive and deep attraction.

I know and it has to be me that junks my career and moves to another country. Even if my family does live there, it doesn't help the true distance thing from what you're used to. And I'm a traveling girl!

Ya but I'd do it. And all this time I've had no problem with up and going. Hell I live 7 miles from my kids now and I talked to them more when I was up in Canada. Granted my kids are all newly in college, work, girlfriends and boyfriends.. they can care less what mom does. Except my baby won't let me skydive without her. lol

Long distance relationships are one thing...moving out of country is
a big change...even if you are canadian...Sounds like your wanting to
find someone local...is to see if you can become attracted to another, or
to prove to yourself that your attraction remains with your canadian...
but with all the contact, telephone, cams, talking to his family and
from what you describe...is the hook in and you are spinning because your
logistics...require a sacrifice on your part...there is no easy way...
Date a few others and see where your heart lies....but don't try to
over analyse it...down deep I think you know the anwswer and you need to
dig deep inside...what is it you truly want for your life....be honest and
true to yourself and go with intuition... good luck...viva la canada...
