That was always the best part of the raking...the burning. When the kids were little they would get marshmallows and try to roast them before the fire burned out. It was so fun and everyone smelled soooo bad! Those were fun times!

Evidently that's what my neighbors thinks!!! We have empty lots between us and they get out there and burn to their heart's content.
Me--I'm dangerous with fire!
When I first started up my fireplace this year was an example. Did you know they work soooo much better when you have that flue open Luckily it didn't get going the first time. My dogs were silently calling me really bad names I'm sure when the house filled up with smoke couldn't wait to get outside and away from me

Once a friend of mine sent me to his house to start the fire before he and about 25 others were to arrive. I have never had a fire place and know very little about them. AND, I really think he could have opened the damn flu for me BUT I started the fire and waited around for it to take. Everything looked good to me so I left. When I talked to him the next day you can imagine what the conversation was about!!! I really screwed up and I'm sure they reall enjoyed the party!

Butterfly - As long as you have Allstate Insurance, you can burn the house down. That is Allstates Stand.

Well darn, this gal feels terrible today--I hurt my rib by wrenching on a pair of big trimmers---to cut some artificial flowers--ouch::::::::::::
I have tried to go in my bedroom and watch tv 3 times now and end up coming back out,
I guess I'm fed up with everything----the darn men around here will sit and watch you break your neck working, but never offer to help---
Of course, i didn't have kids to help me when i got older---I only had them to raise them so they can have fun----Brats anyway:::
I have raked leaves about 10 times at least, and now my yard is full--I just wish it would snow over the housetop--lmao::: grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Now have a nice eve---because mine stinks-----lotsafuninpa---have to change that darn name--lol---does it say lotsafun?????what a joke-----hugsssss

Hope you get to feeling better soon! And sometimes with kids, you just have to say: WHO ARE YOU? cause they are not the same sweet adorable things that you raised to adulthood
