My ex slept with everyone behind my back, tried to throw me down stairs when pregnant so threw vacuum at his head lol, when did eventually go for divorce and got the house, he run up such high arrears on the morgage i had to sell up. He has never ever supported his kids, i did it all by myself. Once a loser always a loser.

The ex and me ordered a pizza and before it got there we were into a major brawl, at the time the pizza boy knocked he was in the process of pushing my head face first into the couch cushions. He leaned over opened the door and paid for the pizza all the while holding my head down and almost smothering me to death.
I finally got loose and beg the pizza boy not to leave...until I could get out of there, too. But I was grabbed and the door slammed and the pizza boy took off like a scalded dog. Then I was forced to sit in a chair, where I couldn't move or say a word and watch him eat the pizza.
I kept trying to get up and run but it didn't work. He kept adding time to my time out. So I played it out until the MF went to sleep and then I hauled ass....

Had an ex who was very controlling, slowly but surely lost touch with all my friends, my family, ended up isolated and controlled. That is, till my brother came to visit from the army. went to see my boyfriend, my brother and I were standing together, hugging, talking, (hadnt seen each other in three years, my only brother..), and my boyfriend got Mad, came up to me when my bro went to the bathroom and told me I was a sick f*ck, that I looked like I wanted to f*ck my brother....
HUGE moment of clarity right then and there....NOTHING I ever did would be good enough, NOONE was supposed to get in the way of his possession of me.
Broke up with him then and there. Stalked me and beat me up at a party next day..he kept following me around and whispering in my ear, "everybody here hates you, your nothing but a loser slut..ect.ect..THEN when he accused me of blowing my brother I threw a beer in his face and he beat my head against a coffee table till I passed out.
Moved to another town after that.....
NEVER AGAIN.
Emotional abuse is worse, I swear...its sneaky, evil....you just want to please your man, so you listen. One little thing leads to another, until you suddenly wake up and realize you have no-one..you have been cut off......
The little control issues lead to the big ones.
Four years with this man.
Sad, really. But I understand what keeps women coming back to abusive relationships, so it helps me as a nurse, so I guess the life experience was for a reason.

my ex went away to bull ride knocked a girl up, came home and then i got knocked up ..i found out about her when i was one month prego. we had are babys four months a part and i got hima bus ticket to ohio to live with his momma!!!

WOW my heart goes out to all of you guys ...man just what in hell goes through peoples minds .We fall in love with a person and then do that to them Geez what a mess . I hate to say it but all the years i was married we got along great and had such trust it was awesome . Only bad thing she did was pass away early ruining the dream of happily ever after . But many many good memories to move forward with ..Hope you all heal and find happiness again

Ya know,life goes on and I've learned so much from reading all of your posts. I don't have enough time or space to write about all of it....would rather not ...instead I'm grateful its brought me to where I am now. The wounds heal, but the scars last forever and so do the memories . Painful, but still thankful, its made me stronger. I know I took it for 18 years and still don't know why I stayed so long. I just know that I'm here now and still breathin  and laughin and its all good....well most of it anyway. Its hard not to judge other men from the past....thats what I have the most trouble with. Trust is a hard one for me. I know the good ones out-number the bad ones, so I do take my own advise. I just wish that moving on would come a little easier to all of us. I think they call it baggage...best of luck to all of you in this thread. I hope you find inner peace and learn to trust again...but most of all...to love again. BIG HUGS Dragon
