Closterphobic I was on a tour of "the house on the rock" here in WI. Much of it is underground and the tour takes a couple hours...I could only handle about 20 min and ran out the side door..LOL I guess that is why they have exits everywhere.

EMT, I have toured the House on the Rock in Spring Green numerous times. I didn't mind the tunnels, but the last time I was there they built an all glass overlook which extends over the rock. Once on it and looking down I suddenly felt very queasy.
The Department of Parks and Recreation has built an all glass overlook which extends OVER the Canyon at the north rim of the Grand Canyon, complete with a glass floor. Walk out on that and it scares the pee pee out of you........I didn't have any phobias until I walked on that.

I think, I would just buy one of those Batt. Operated Safty EXIT sign (BOSE)...
Is it a phobia or is it being smart at our age...I can rememeber jumping trains in my younger life. Slept under, in and on top of many. Don't think I would or could do that anymore..
Later, Blu

I was going to copy the phobia list from the website phobialist.com. It is massive, and would take up too much space here. There is no Q phobias. Here are the three of the number phobias:
13, number- Triskadekaphobia.
666, number- Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia
8, number- Octophobia.
Personally, I have so many, I won't even try.

Minsk the thread is YOUR phobias, not a list of what each phobia name means.
Shez, I know exactly what you mean about those pesky hairs...I trim mine with a John Deere chainsaw.

Yes, I do have a Phobia. I have to come up with a name for it. It is that every time I add a thread to this Forum and click on the Post button, I cringe because, there are those of you who have to come back with WISE ASS negative remark about what I write, the majority of the time.

You guys (and gals) are good grins. My phobia may be the fear of not being able to post on and read these forums. They really make my day most of the time. Seriously, my fear may be called autophobia or monophobia....the fear of being alone. The fear of emotional solitude. Thanks for bringing this stuff up, Tru. I guess talking about our phobias is the best treatment for them. Hey Emt, I'm not a huge fan of enclosed spaces either...I can deal with them as long as I know that there is a way out, the veritable light at the end of the tunnel thing.

good comeback MINSK!!
I HEAR YA!!!!
lol
my phobia = HEIGHTS
my feet go numb, my heart races, my palms sweat and im in a state of panic, I hold on to something for dear life and feel as though I will pass out.
I just want to find the quickest way out of the situation.
This did not happen to me until i was in my 30's.
I've often wondered what makes a phobia come on like that later in life. - but then I wouldnt be sticking to the thread!
