Let's try it...discuss anything that comes to mind, but stick with the noncontroversial topics.
I will start..my favorite Beatles song is "Yesterday" since it was one of the first songs I learned to play on the piano and guitar. Very easy chords when first learning to play an instrument.

One night late, I was at WalMart. I got into my car and noticed an elderly woman had her hands full and the wind was blowing pretty hard. Just as she got to her car, the wind lifted her scarf off and it went sailing over several cars. Two young boys.. about 18 or so.. who had been standing in front of the store and had whistled at me as I walked out ran over to her. One ran to get her scarf and the other practically snatched the bags of mechandise from this old woman's hands. I had one foot out of the door and my hand on the cell to call the police if need be. The one with the scarf came back laughing and handed the woman the scarf. I'm sure the old woman was scared to death as they opened her car door for her and she got in. The other boy opened the back door, gently laid the bags inside, closed the door and I overheard him tell the woman to drive safely. My heart swelled at this site. I pulled up and asked the kids what they were up to and they said just hanging out.. nothing else to do. I asked if they were hungry and of course.. like all kids.. they were starved. I told em to get in and went down about 2 blocks to the all night diner and bought them a big meal. We laughed and had a true blast! I gave them a ride home and went up to the door with them. I explained everything to the parents and told them what an awesome job they did with their sons. I walked off and had to smile.. am sure the parents were standing there like.. " wait, you are talking about my kids.. right? LOL
We hear all the bad about young people... and do not praise them enough for all the right that they do

Busch Gardens (a free roaming zoo) located in Tampa, Florida has the largest white bengal tiger population of any white bengals in the world. Sigfried and Roy holding the record for the most privately owned in captivity. The bengal tiger is primarily indigenous to India, but sadly to say there are now more bengals in US zoos than found in India and Tibet. They are being killed off by poachers for their teeth and fur, and are now listed on the endangered species list.
Just saw on the news the Key deer, native to the Florida Keys, was almost extinct a few years ago with only 34 left because of hunters. They are now flourishing again because of steep fines and jail time for hunters and poachers of these miniature deer.
It makes me wonder how many common known animals and species, that we in our generation know of, will be extinct by the time our grandchildren or greatgrandchildren become parents? Yes, I am aware of the polar bear because of global warming...

NAIROBI (AFP) - A baby hippopotamus that survived the tsunami waves on the Kenyan coast has formed a strong bond with a giant male century-old tortoise, in an animal facility in the port city of Mombassa, officials said. The hippopotamus, nicknamed Owen and weighing about 300 kilograms (650 pounds), was swept down Sabaki > River into the Indian Ocean, then forced back to shore when tsunami waves struck the Kenyan coast on December 26, before wildlife rangers rescued him.
"It is incredible. A-less-than-a-year-old hippo has adopted a male tortoise, about a century old, and the tortoise seems to be very happy with being a 'mother'," ecologist Paula Kahumbu, who is in charge of Lafarge Park, told AFP. "After it was swept and lost its mother, the hippo was traumatized. It had to look for something to be a surrogate mother. Fortunately, it landed on the tortoise and established a strong bond. They swim, eat and sleep together," the ecologist added. "The hippo follows the tortoise exactly the way it follows its mother. If somebody approaches the tortoise, the hippo becomes aggressive, as if protecting its biological mother," Kahumbu added. "The hippo is a young baby, he was left at a very tender age and by nature, hippos are social animals that like to stay with their mothers for four years," he explained.
Accept other that are different and look what they gain !!!!!!
Should or could we add to someone else post, if it is something POS ? Are do some not know what POS is ?

I'm sitting here thinking that I need to stop the computer and find something constructive to do with my time. Thinking about the last date I was on and just how much fun I had just listening to him talk about old architecture and how riding along in the dark while he points out interesting houses. You could just tell it was one of his passions and he had so many. The easy way he had to make me laugh. Having him drive for hours trying to find the right spot to sing to me at the karaoke bar. Despite all the warnings, I will see him again just for the laughter.

What would happen.....if you were home and knew a natural disaster was going to hit your house in exactly one hour, destroying it and all it's contents, what personal items would you take other than clothes, pets, and necessities?
Family photo albums for sure, heirloom jewelry, some heirloom dishes, and an heirloom pocketknife given to me by my grandfather.

I think anyone considering getting a pet for themselves.. or a loved one for Christmas should check out the Humane Society or dog pound in your area. They are here and they need a home. Also.. consider the older dogs. Everyone wants to take a puppy home.. but the older dogs are great! They have developed their personalities and easily trained.
