I'm sure it has happen to several people, do you feel is really cool or really sucks when you and after the divorce you and your ex become best friends? I understand is the best for the kids but it is just funny, isn't it?

I was over helping my ex move in with my replacement last weekend.
When it comes to my Kids none of that BS matters, and fortunately we had a good friendship to start with and we were able to come to terms with how things turned out between us and now are just good friends again.
I still care about her and tell her that from time to time, and she feels the same. It is just sad we couldnt be happy as a couple...

My 1st X and I talk about anything to do with our son and that is all. We have an open communication on that. Otherwise, I have no reason to contact him. My 2nd X ... hell no way.

My ex tried that crap with me. My response was, "if we are such good friends, we should be able to work things out". No kids BTW.

My first ex and I are good friends. We just seem to get along better not being married. Maybe its just because now we are not together all the time and our less then good habits do not rub on each other.

I manage to remain good friends with my ex wife. In fact, I've never really left a relationship without remaining friends on one level or another. In all honesty, anyone else would hate that b*tch but for the kids sake, I bury those feelings down deep

I think it says something about you personally if you can end a bad situation still being friends. You have to let go of that hate and negativity, to become happy, its not good keeping it bottled up. Im not saying my ex's and I didn't fight at one point during the end of the relationship, nor am I saying that they don't make me mad from time to time. But I have remained friends regardless. I have went through years with these men and they are people I trust, why not turn it to friendship.

I remained friends with the father of my children all the time they were growing up We were not best friends..but I often kidded with his wife, and said she and I could be best friends, but I did not get along real well with her husband. My 2nd ex..I actually hid from him for several years Three years ago, a girlfriend called to inform me he had been killed in a car accident...all I felt was relief that he did not hurt any one else in the accident

We will never be best friends.
We used to be, but people change.
I am civil, we discuss schedules and that is it.
I don't care what he is doing or who he is doing it with.
He lost the privilege of being my friend when he did what he did....
I pray for him, I want nothing for the best for him but that does not include me in the mix....
Who hasn't wanted to have sex with their best friend ( opp sex) at one time or other? to each his own.

A few months ago I was renting a space in my house to my ex husband and my ex boyfriend who I have a son with. Both of them got along and they both knew the relationship in both cases ended for the best and there were no hard feelings. Sure a break up can be full of anger and hate but its a lot better to end a relationship with the both of you wishing the best for each other. I feel lucky for that.

me and my ex are friends now we have been through alot together and who knows me better but him, We get along now that we are divorced and yes we have a daughter together. It's not weird. Ex's can make good friends if you both and i said both give it a try. Most ex's hate each other, I don't want to hate anyone.

My ex and I get along ok but we have no reason to contact one another. He's also now married. Whenever we are around each other because of the kids or grandchildren we do fine and I like his wife. Like someone else said I think she and I could be friends. I wish them the best always. She never interferes with him being the kids Dad and grandfather to the grandkids. He was dating a woman one time before he met his current wife and she tried to come between him and the family it was awful and he wised up.
