Curious to see how many out here are into it, or even know the meaning. And if so tell me what's your definition?

Well there are many different ways to live an alternative lifestyle. I would have to say that me being a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism is a bit alternative, because it's not the "norm".
There are those that are into alot of ink, heavy piercings, the punk scene, the death metal scene, swingers, polyamorous people, etc etc.
I guess alternative is all in the eyes of the beholder. I have such a diverse group of friends that I have a hard time viewing much of anything as being alternative.

Choosing to live your life the way "you" want, not the way society thinks that you should. Yeah definitely going against what most would consider "normal"..

When someone mentions alternative lifestyles I instantly get the idea he's talking about being a homosexual. If that's not the case, I suggest you spell out what you are talking about before you use an ambiguos term as alternative lifestyle.

Well so far "stormygrl" is on the right track...
As for "dutchboy4u" Dude I'm into the holes not the poles...
It's about stepping outside of the box, and going against the grain of what some people believe to be normal behavior.
It's to open up ones mind and just say,
Good beer, great open friendships, makes for unimaginable fantastic sex. And makes for a wickedly wild ride...
As the song says, "And They Were Swinging, Just-a-Swinging"
