OK, a structure under construction is called a building. When it's complete, why isn't it called a "built"?

well.. as she's growing older thru puberty and early teens, we men, just look at her and say, she's gonna be fine one day. This is the building stage. Now, when she turns 18, even 19, and sometimes as late as 20, we say she's BUILT.
I never understood why some men thought of good looking women as 'built like a brick shithouse' though.

Knight, I'll bet nobody ever gets uppity with u! Truly u have done your upmost upon this topic and are the king of oneupmanship! You missed one though: when asked in the military whether one would reenlist, the answer is often re-up yours!
U done gooood! U may not have hit a home run, but u knocked up a fly, which is pretty difficult.

oh folks.. i cannot take credit where none is due. With the information highway of the internet, most stuff is pretty simple to find. However, that lil bit of info was in a recent email. I do read too much though. I have 4 browser windows opened besides this one right now.
and the re-up in the military... I certainly wish Forest Gump had been my friend back then too. Run, Forrrrressst, Run!

Law, you keep botching that expression, repeating what you hear.
It is written as:
You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.
It's the punchline in some unspecified joke.
BTW, in French "bra" means "arm".
Perhaps a better question might be "Why is panties plural, byt thong singular?"
