She said "excuse me" but her date acted like he did not hear it...The rest of the night she felt weird and he did not tell anymore jokes... He has not called her in three days... Do you think it's over between them because she farted? It was a first date, but arent we all human??? What do you think and how would you have handled it?

Note the ambiguous reference to possible relationship to body type and farting. I personally would laugh and take the pressure off, I cannot imagine making someone sweat it for the rest of the night worrying if they offended me. It takes much more than a fart to faze me. Bill

denbroni Portland, OR age: 31	Lots of people go out on first dates and then never hear from them again. Thats just the nature of dating. I dont think that it would be just because of a fart. I think unless your a 12yr old kid and going around asking people to pull your finger most of us are mature enough to understand that farts can and will happen. Im sure she is just more embarassed about it then anything else. All I can say is that I would not break it off with someone because of that. Plus if you stayed together it could be a funny story to tell later.

A shallow person doesn't care about anything but appearance and behavior in public. Male or female, a person who deliberately releases gas or does thing that are embarrassing is one thing, but an accidental slip, come on.
