thank you for the memories folks. in my youth, age 16, i became the song leader, music director or minister today. I did that until I was probably 25 or so at 4 different churches and never got paid.. whew. I could have been another Bill Gather or something.. lol.
I had my own song books from those churches and finally, they fell apart and were thrown away.
You have made me remember many of the old gospel songs from days gone by. Not many churches keep those old hymns going today. Many have changed to the current songs you hear on KSBJ, the local Christian radio station.

I won't complain.
It goes something like this. I had some good days. I had some hills to climb. I had some weary days, and some sleepless nights. But, when i look around and i think things over, then all of my good days, outweigh my bad days, i won't complain. He dries all of my tears away, He turns my midnight into day, i say thank you, I won't complain. Sometimes, the clouds hang low, and i don't even see the road, i asked a question Lord, why, so much pain. But, He knows whats best for me. Although my weary eyes, i couldn't see. I say, thank you, thank you Lord, I won't complain. Sorry, for the long answer.

There are so many, I love the old in the hymnals and I love the contemporary. Mercy Me and Casting Crowns are two of my favorite groups.
Prodigal Son-Casting Crowns
If we are the Body-Mercy Me
There is another one that lifts me up and that is "God is Good." I don't know who originally wrote it or sang it but we sing it in our church all the time and it makes me dance!
