my favorite old time Gospel song would be "The Old Rugged Cross"
Modern Christian music would be "Lifesong" by casting crowns.
I listen rarely to secular music because it does not float

My favorite contemporary song would have to be by Casting Crowns, "Does anybody see her" I have such a burden for our young women of today. I read a book by Lisa Bevere called "Kissed the girls and made them cry." and I cried through the whole book. I lived my life separate from God for 38 years and how last we are.

My favorite gospel songs are many - (1)LOVE LIFTED ME, I was sinking in sin and because he loved me best HE lifted me; (2)WHAT A FRIEND, There is no better friend than Jesus; and(3)IN THE PRESENCE OF THE KING, by Donald Lawrence, just to be in the presnece of the one who loves me best. I also loved all the old hymns the food for the soul.

I'm with unique "The Old Rugged Cross".I went into the church to pray one morning .Instead of spending time in pray I felt an ovewelming urge to sing old hymns.An elderly gentel man who often came to pray in the morning was there.I kept on singing.The last hymn I sang was the Old Rugged Cross.That Sunday it was announced that he had gone to pray,came home and visited with his wife over a cup of coffee.She told the pastor some one sang his favorite hymn and it gave him so much joy he cried.Then he went to lay down again and went home to Jesus.It is now my favorite hymn.

I like pretty much anything by Casting Crowns, but I would have to say that my favorite song right now is One Touch by Nicole C. Mullen. I love the story of the women who was healed by just touching the hymn of Jesus' garment. It takes faith to believe that if you could just touch the garment of Jesus and be healed. To have that kind of faith just imagine the possibilities. I can do all thisngs through Chris that streanthen me Pillipiand 4:13.

Hi All!! May I suggest you take a look in the You Tube forum,for a Thread I stated a couple of months ago...its called...Awesome God... I was going to add some of the songs that some of you have mentioned in here,but the thread is closed to new videos.
Sooo,I will start a new Thread,and start posting favorite Gospel songs,of yesterdays and today! If anyone would like to see and hear any of their favorites,just post them in here and Ill get them posted in You Tube,ok??LOL.....peace

My favorite gospel song is Amazing Grace and beulah land by squire parsons there are so many gospel songs , Winner either way , wall of prayer by the Mccameys and the ole rugged cross.
