Hey now Big Joel! I resemble that comment  Having Fibromyalgia I enjoy a better life through chemistry!! My chronic pain specialist is my best friend!!! Add DDD from L-4 to L-6 and arthritis in my neck (yeah I know to look at me you'd never know it but that's only cuz I don't let the shit own me) I RELY on my prescribed drugs (read heavy narcotics) to help me make it through the day 
With that said I only checked out this thread cuz I thought maybe someone was posting a sarcastically humorous post, not crying about Christmas coming up! There are worse things to feel sorry for yourself than not having someone special in your life!! There are people out there with terminal illnesses, those who have lost loved ones (my son's 16 year old friend was struck and killed by a car days before Thanksgiving, think his mom and dad are gonna have a good Christmas this year??? Or next??) and worse.
So suck it up and quit yer whining!! Oh and one more thing!

Darlene: u r right on the money. There are many other people out there that are in worse shape. So u dont have a significant other. Do u have friends? I am going through a divorce during this holiday season, I am trying to make the best of it. Be happy that u have your health, and friends.

yea well i been doing this alone for 8 years now, i have 2 adult kids but i want a lover to hold my hand and kiss my neck or just to smile at. i have decided that i will probabley be single the rest of my life so i need to just get use to it.

Tee hee! Seriously, it is a choice whether to see the glass as half full or half empty . . . I'm single this holiday season (again) and I'm choosing to be grateful for the time to spend with my kids and extended family . . . a boyfriend would only complicate things right now !
