Sorry folks,

i have frontier and there a real pain in my ass, got my bill yesterday there system messed up and added 200 bucks to my bill i took care of that. but i bet if i just paid it. they would of not said a word. you wan't to talk about my eyes getting big and i was grumpy on the phone with them.

Smokie is fine, she's not gonna like today, leaving soon for Geisinger's for a session in the endocrinology lab, so she'll be by herself for 5 or 6 hours, just got a hope she doesn't knock over her tip-proof water dish again. She did it last week, I'm ready to cement one into the ground.

Just got back from a consult with the endocrinologists, I have 3 choices:
#1 - Periodic ultrasound and nuclear scans, with biopsies as indicated by the scans
#2 - Removal of the hyperactive right lobe of the thyroid and meds as indicated
#3 - Total resection of the thyroid and daily replacement meds til I croak
They found 4 large nodules on my right lobe between 1/2 to 1-1/4 " long and 6 nodules on my left lobe between 1/16 and 1/3 " long. None were cancerous, but the hyperthyroidism was recurrant, and sooner or later.....
So I guess I'm going to go get my throat slit, since that is my best option. Like father, like son. Just not thrilled about having to take another pill daily for the rest of my days.

Stumpy although no surgery is fool proof, that is probably the best option. That one little pill will be a whole lot better than any of the other options you have to choose from. My Mom had her goiter out when she was pregnant with me. She lived to be 81.

Stumpy - I agree with Mow. I worked with a woman who had the resection and took the replacement meds every day and she didn't regret it. Just a little pill first thing in the a.m. and you can forget about it for the rest of the day. Good luck, best wishes and prayers go to you.

hey stumpy we live close so i will be at the hosp if you like, and get you giggling and feeling better. the er is my second home, and my hosp stays my god. they can drive you nuts rest no way, its seems all night long take you temp ever 20 minutes or draw blood. and they hook up a doz wires on me so i do not run away, and the food. last time i had pissa del. wow the hell i raised i got a toaster oven for next time and t.v. dinners, if i can not tell what it is i will not eat it. but i would be guessing you go to the vally pocono med center is not good for some things. i would even camp out in the chair bye you bed if you like, its so much easyier to just have some one there. can wait to meet you tomoro i think your the greatest.

Smokie, had to learn things a bit harshly for a few items, that scruff thinggy, seems to make a better impression than treats. But, using the carrot & stick school of ed. method is working, when she obeys --> a treat; when she is thickheaded and independent 'the scruff lift or the hard yank on the leash' 101 class works.
