I say why hide it in the beginning. But if I was attached to her already it would not matter. Also it wouldn't matter what she looked like. Lets face it some people our age have had health issues.

Hello Darlene, I think it would be OK to tell him if you felt a connection and wanted things to go forward. If he was uneasy about then you would know that he was not worth wasting your time.

You guys have been incredibly supportive, any woman would be lucky to have any one of you guys. Seriously, I honestly thought I was going to get a lot of negative responses and was very surprised (and pleased) to see otherwise. Whew!!! Thanks to all who responded. It makes me feel a bit better about someday finding someone who will love me for who I am and accept me with my flaws.

well coming from someone my age (i think i am about the youngest person here that dose much posting) it wouldnt bother me that much as long as it wasnt drugs bein the cause of it....lest face it im 22 live on my own and eat fast food all of the time...i dont take that good of care of myself like i should..

yes i would date her, with or without teeth. a smile says a lot, but it dosn't have to be perfect, just genuine. immagine the different kinds of dentures you could wear. It could spruce up that boring halloween costume. you could also have them engraved, i once met Hugh Romney, he was famous for(among other things) what he called the rainbow bridge. He had his dentures engraved and enameled in the colors of the rainbow. he wasn't much to look at, but he had the brightest smile.

darlene you say your not secure...your pretty GOD DAMN SECURE as i see it...you're telling the whole computer world right now... ......... it's not something you're gonna tell someone on the first date are you?...i don't think it's that important..you don't have a contagious disease for god's sake.....you look good don't worry so much a man will like you for yourself.......i'm not minimizing it i know you must be self concious..but you're smart u already brought up all the plusses..and always have sense of humor about it

First impressions are always hard to overcome. If you're self-conscious Darlene, welcome to the club.
Some people are born with visible facial defects which are hard to ignore. Cleft lip/cleft palate; even if corrected, still leaves a pretty obvious mark and affects voice quality.
When I open my morning paper and there is an advert for the "Smile Train" I get a queasy feeling in my stomach, even though I was born the same way. Part of the purpose of corrective surgery is so folks are less apt to want to puke when they see us.
There is only so much which can be done in many cases to improve how we sound and look.
I won't feed you a line of b.s. Darlene, how dentures affect your first impression will make a big difference in how far you'll go with a lot of guys.
