Open and honest to begin with, nothing is really gained by playing head games. To thine own self be true. Being who you are is much more attractive and sustaining.

I agree because I know that I wouldn't want a relationship built on lies just not understanding why people would wanna start on a lie just so they can retract the whole relationship when they decide the next level of the relationship.

I do not play games or BS anyone here or in real life ,it does not always get me in the good books but at least they know where I stand.
But trust me when I say I have been played and one does not know until you have invested time and feeling for that one that played you.
So be careful as what you think maybe happening is in fact just a game at your expense.

Honest from the get go ~ denial/headgames only lead to deception and betrayal.

Both would appreciate it.
It takes a certain type of person to enjoy a good head game...those people are rare and when you find one you should hold on to them.
Nothing better than 2 people screwing around with each others heads so much you don't know what is up and what is down.
It adds excitement and challenge to a relationship...talking about the weather or how much milk is at Walmart this week really doesn't cut it for me.....disappearing for 4 days straight and showing up with a camel does.

Or when you haven't seen them for a week, sending flowers with a card that says, "Sweetheart, thanks so much for the other night. You were incredible!"
(that always makes them wonder)

I don't play head games, or associate for long with those who do. I don't have time to waste jerking others around, or being jerked around by others. I am what I am,and that's all that I am. Those who don't like it had better move on.

I never pretend to be someone or something that I'm not in order to get someone. If you have to do that, you probably don't need them anyway.
If you begin a relationship based on lies or something less than the truth, you have nothing left to build on - nowhere to go.

You are kidding, of course, but there is some truth to what you say. Mind games that are played without malice or harm but with respect and playfulness can be very stimulating.

most people who lie are afraid of others finding out the trueth, then rejection. I happen to think no matter how bad being honest may seem to be, the out come latter is far worse, then you have lost face with the other person. only players lie.

Acting disingenuous is a head game. Saying what people think you should say solely for the purposes of having you think they agree with you is a head game. Doling out selective "brutal honesty" is a head game. Feigning righteous indignation at deceit is a head game.
My head game meter has been pegged for awhile now.
