 Well the guy is really 31 and he said if I am not married by the time he is 35 we will get married. But we have been in an on and off relationship for 10 years. I also told him I do not want to stay in this emotional termoial with him anymore and he needs to let me know if we will ever go anywhere and that is when he gave me the whole If we are not married by the time he is 35 then we will get married.......Then he was like that sounds like an ok deal. I guess i am just looking for if this is a good deal or if people think i am wasting my time. I feel as if i am.

Lesson learned the hard way and 2 yrs. later, I FINALLY realized I could NEVER be with someone who I "technically" still waited around for, in whatever sense..we always found our way back to each other, but he proved he truly had NEVER changed.

it's also called "settling".

But then again, I don't blithely tell a guy I'm seeing that I could "see myself marrying them someday". I can see myself in a pair of size 12 jeans (again) some day, or riding a motorcycle, or... but not marrying someone. That's a little more serious to me. Maybe that's just me though.
