Colleen..You need only concern yourself with your comfort zone...especially on the internet. Please do not ever question yourself...or lower the standards you have set for yourself...especially when it comes to being cautious. As far as this one particular fella...too bad he could not be a little more patient...his problem not yours..it will become your problem, when you question yourself.

It's just hard for me to believe that an adult, in this day and age, especially with a 14 yr. old child, can leave himself so vulnerable. He may be a newbie but he has no street smarts? I'm not upset that he dismissed me because there were only a few emails and I knew next to nothing about him. I guess I'm just upset because I detest ignorance and his ignorance could end up hurting his child.

I have a customer I wait on who used to be a prison guard in CA. He strongly, strongly suggested that if I hike, rv, or whatever either alone or with a friend, to take my gun!! He got to know the inmates and what their modus operandi was. Some wait on hiking trails, and even if two women are hiking and you think you're safe, and a man attacks, they'll just be two dead bodies instead of one. I couldn't believe what he was saying, but as he said, better safe than sorry or dead. Let's all be careful ladies.

it is unfortunate that as well as the not good people, there are good people on here (web/internet) and there is no way to sort them out....which is an even bigger shame...but when you consider the possible outcomes, anyone who can't understand you and your reasons for caution.....will do you a favor if they make the exit...that way you don't have to show them to the door....

You can never be too cautious....My first experiance on a diff site the guy was looking for "his 1 true love""willing to relocate for her" Used an address on the Big Island of Hawaii. that was the 1st question was relocate to Hawaii? Where did he live now? A= Nigeria was born in Rome ITaly??? He gave his sons name in 1st communication later I asked what his sons's name was and it was totally different.... I did a Google search on international birth records...DAAA no results.I reported him to the site and he was removed.....NOW I check 'em out.....Thank God I did not give any personal info.....

Sounds like the guy may have something to hide. I got an email from a guy in Fl (one of those no photos ). After a couple of emails he informed me he would be willing to relocate. At this point that's not even in the thought process. Yes, I would be cautious and suspicious of someone especially if they want to move too fast.

Colleen, I don't know you and can only see what is here in pictures, and words.....but in the Shopping Centers, Wal Marts, Gas Stations , Churches, Schools, and the internet, there are persons of ill repute, and unrecocilable indifferences with females, there are molesters, rapist and murderers abound. Caution is the strongest attribute to safety a woman has....someone told someone to get a gun,,,oh great idea, now the guy has you and a gun...not
I am a strong advocate for War on Terror.....not in Iraq, but right here at home in America, we are not safe going out at night, have to double door locks, double deadbolts, alarm systems,motion sensors...ect...
I dealt with people with mental problems who believe the woman is to be at his beck and call, under his direction and command at all times, and if you were not moving along fast enough in his mind for him to reach "HIS GOAL", then he bilked you and moved on, leaving you with concerns and doubts.....wrong to have any concerns or doubts......you are safe, you are home, that is what matters, not what someone on the internet said or did....phuey on them. you do not deserve that kind of a man with no patience in your life at all, not even a New York Taxi Driver
