Many years ago I worked with a very smart young man putting together multi-million dollar syndicated investments. The first week in that office I was shocked to hear him repeatedly scream profanities into the phone while having conversations with potential investors. I politely suggested he could be more diplomatic. He told me to mind my own business.
By week two, I had a huge mirror installed on the wall opposite his desk so that he could see himself at all times whether standing or seated. The next time he started into a verbal tirade on the phone, he "saw" how he sounded & abruptly stopped. He never raised his voice again. Within six months, his business tripled over the prior year's production (which had been considered very good in the industry).
If I'd thought Miss Kisses would learn anything at all from a gentle grandmotherly suggestion, that's what I would have done. But knowing a thing or two about disrespectful 21 year olds, I decided to "hang up a mirror".
I suspect she has a hearing impairment.
