be honest, tell him you are interested. Remember men need to be slapped in the face, hints don't work. And if it's still a no go, move on

Why force the issue. Just hang out enjoy each other company and let it happen naturally.
I never understood why people need to go from single to committement in a period of time.
What is the gap between the first date until now? If we are talking a year or more, than I understand the need to have a commitment, but if we are talking a few weeks maybe to some people that a little to fast and you need to slow down so you don't build up high expectation on the "Relationship".

I agree with Lawrence. Why force it? If you are too agressive he might think you just want sex. And it's fine if that is all you want. But if you want more than take your time. Just be friendly with him and offer to meet him somewhere for coffee or a movie. Some women just move to damn fast and they wonder why they can't find anyone.

PLEASE stop with the subtle hints for christ sake! They don't work, they never have, they never will. Talk to him about it, see if he feels the same. If you're lucky, he will feel comfortable talking with you about his feelings and not clam up like some shy schoolboy. (Like I do!!)

Don't beat around the bush. Just ask him out and go for it. That's right YOU just ask him out. What do you have to loose?
