I agree with Wine...you don't know how many guys I don't email because either they have some hand gesture, or naked, or think I need to see their private parts, or have the stupidest ID address...."wellhung"...willbangforcoffee"...just a couple.
You reap what you sow. You have to put out there respect in order to get it, so a pic says alot about you and paints a thousand words. I have a 26 yr old niece whose looking for a super guy who will respect her as she wants to respect them, but if she were to see your hand gesture she won't even wink at you and the fact that you could use the F word towards winesong says alot about you character, and integrity, and where YOUR respect is towards women in general and an older women at that.
So are you really being sincere, or are you just talking the talk while we sit here and yawn. I know way too many men, young and old who would never use foul language around a lady much less email it, so are YOUR standards the same online as you claim they are in real life. Or can a girl who dates you expect to see and hear the same language from the "hood".

Antwion, it is a different time. In those times, people did not have the leisures of life. Computers, internet, everything handed to them. Our ancestors had to work, and work hard for the things in life. They scrimped and scrimped. They appreciated love and relationships more, because they had to work at it. Today there is no work involved.

Dude......you're preaching at the choir here.... I really understand. Faithful partners are getting difficult to find. I've been alone for almst 9 years now....and the kicker is that for the first of those 9 years, was still living with and married to my 2nd wife.....

well i dont know how other feel or look at that post but this is my look........lots has changed from way back in the day...i mean back then i women was controlled by her man, she had to do what he said, wait on him hand and foot, but now of days its way different...people look at marrage different... i mean lots of people will be together for 10 15 years and never get married. or some women will have kids with 2 or 3 different guys and not get married. its just the time of age we leave in. plus when people do get married 50% of the time it doesnt work cuz one or both partner cheast, and pretty much people just dont want to be tied down they just rather go out and be with different people, thats just my look i personal think its better to be married then have madd baby daddy's and stuff.

I agree with you, 100%. I was married for 12 years. I thought I would be married forever. My ex walked out and never looked back. He said he did not want to be married anymore. Did not want counceling, Did not want to try, Did not explain why? We did not fight? He said he did not cheat? He said he did not have another woman? He just said he wanted out. 7 months after our divorce, (we were never seperated) later and he has been living with another woman for 2 months now. So was there another woman, I think so. Do I feel like he lied and cheated YES! Do I feel like there was lack of respect, absolutely! I wish the young could learn from the old generation. My parents too just celebrated 45 years of marriage and my ex's parents just celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Look, I know its frustrating...my experience is that somewhere after the bra burning and 80s drugs and sex craze, this country has lost itself badly. No one knows who they are anymore, men or women...or even how to find themselves. I've been watching Tyra Banks and she's had young women who think nothing of inviting online men to hotel rooms for sex, or going to sports bars to find men to hook up with and I have to change the channel. Its hurtful to see these yw take the most precious part of their womenhood and sell it for a half a penny. They're excuse is that guys have been doing it for centuries and I'm waiting for Tyra to say, its not right for the guys either.
Nothing seems to be right and there are way too many options we've come to accept and regret it at the same time. I don't believe the way we're living now was God's intention, and we're heading down that dark abyss faster than molasses, why...because we've sold our souls and short changed our integrity for what feels good right now. It isn't until we're older that we get that V8 smack in the head and regret our stupidity because we refuse to listen to anyone. Well, most of us, some have grown up well.
And no, I don't curse, was never raised to even out of frustration, but remember I'm older than you and from a different generation. And the fact that divorce and cheating is so commonplace just tells me that, although we talk to our children about many things, we've not taught our children to BE good choices. In fact, someone on the news the other day stated how we talk to our children 8 times more about education than morals and values. This is where we are in this country. We're paying a heavy price. Although we claim to have morals and values, we're also scared of standing alone in those principles and not follow the crowd. But one has to remain positive that the tide will change. Hang in there, we're standing just as tall as you are and will hold you up when need be.

Good post. You're obviously smart. To me, you seem honest. I couldn't really find where you were cussing or being too rude or something. Personally, I cuss alot...a shitload, in fact. Some people hear me and think I'm an idiot because of my foul language. Most of the time I don't give a damn, especially here. Here I get to screen for people who don't mind a little colorful language. "Bullshit" is not even a curse word!
As a great philosopher once said,"Times, they are a changin'." Too true, old wise one, too true. You're 27, antwion. Somewhere around 10 years ago, the President of the United States helped cause the definition of sex to change a little. A blow job, to some people your age, and especially people younger than you, isn't even sex....just a bj...kinda like a kiss.
Now, Wild Bill's lying and cheating certainly was'nt the sole reason for the change, just a part of it. Being 27, I'd guess you're a rap and hip hop fella. IMO, the whole rap and hip hop thing had a big role in the change. Fake titties, asses bouncin', daisy dukes, gunplay, slut, ho, slut, ho, playa, playa, playa...rap sped the change. Video games are changing kids....I saved Earth from Space Invaders and giant centipedes and blew up astroids and ate dots. Your generation had Grand Theft Auto, how many sequels? Killin people, near naked hookers, drug deals, stealin, and secret codes to see the hookers with less clothes! Of course, the internet is a huge part of the change, for all reasons you already know.
antwion, you just go on being you. Take your time, you ain't runnin no race. There's plenty of good girls out there for ya, you'll find one. Maybe you should also start considering women a little older.
