He did not suggest what was good for dinner (he knew the place better then I did), he told me what he was going to order..and we could split it. Of course, he was a vegetarian..and I am not, so I told him I would order for myself, which I did. After dinner we were talking..and he told me he wanted a committed relationship..and I told him I wanted to date....he then accused me of being shallow!! Now, what is really unbelievable..he had been married, 5 times...all ended in divorce...and had two live in arrangements He told me there was no use taking the date any further, and wanted to know if he needed to walk me to the car...I said no...but we had not received the check yet...by that time, I was so angry with this joker..I told him to go ahead..leave..dinner was on me. I hope this is what you were looking for

Met with my date at Applebees'. Sat at the bar for 2 hours talking and drinking (1 coke each) When he finished his Coke he sat there sucking on the ice. (wouldn't order another) Never even asked me if I wanted to eat. Finally I said that I had to leave because I didn't like driving at night. LOL Emailed him when I got home to tell him that I didn't feel there was a connection. PLUS after he described himself as 5'10" and a few extra pounds he turned out to be 5'7" and about 300 pounds. LOL Not what I bargained for!

One coke, and about 15 to 20 minutes and I would have been on my way...
I am not sure I would have made it to the order time of 5 minutes...
to be truthful...I would say..this is not going to work for me...
I have not experienced anything like this...
boy O boy....the cold Canadian winter air is going to descend on us tomorrow..
supposed to be zero or less. MOnday the HIGH will be 10 during the day...
I better go and check out the garage for chemicals that might spoil from freezing.

my date wasn't cheap, but she was, " a cheap date". we met at a bagle shop, (her choice, in her town) for none other than, a bagle and coffee. said she'd melt, if seen out after dark.

This is probably not what you are looking for, but is
true and kinda funny (well I thought it was at the time)
A long time ago, (in my 20's) I was a server, dated the cook...
we worked at a place that didn't pay much, so both of us were
kinda broke.
We went to a Chinese place..dressed nicely, but casual. We
ordered and shared the "Poo Poo Platter" (it was really is good)...anyway
this well-dressed group of older folks came in, pulled tables
together, etc...
At times we would glance at them in all their
"finery" and they at us. You could tell this one woman was
real snooty, had her nose in the air (too bad she didn't pass out
from the altitude)and all "puffed up."
We couldn't help but snicker during our "Poo Poo Platter" behind
our napkins. As we were finishing up, my date (on purpose) lets
out with this huge burp...and I about lost it...as we were
standing up to leave...well you shoulda seen the look on this
gals face...like someone slapped her silly with a wet napkin
or something, and her face got all "pruned up"...it was
hilarious!!!
We giggled all the way out of the restaurant and when we got outside
we both lost it!!!! Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh...the memories!
Sorry, but this is the only one I could think of! My bad!

This cyber dating is soooooo different. Don't feel comfortable with a strange man buying me dinner or lunch. So...
I'm always a cheap first date, if it's also a first meeting.
Go dutch treat.. and have even picked up the check, if he has driven a long distance.
Second date is a different story.
