I know I will get old and be in a nursing home staring out the window someday so I'd like to have a video to plug into the vcr to watch for when that comes. I used to do line dancing and would get on my tight jeans and tight shirt along with my boots and have a blast at single dances. While my body is still in good shape and my feet can move okay at 60 yet I'd like to get on a tight pair of jeans, tight tank top and be in a utube dance video where they are shooting a song to air. What would you like to do one more time please?

I use to teach tennis and played competitively - I was singles champion in Shreveport for 3 years in a row. If my knees and shoulders had withstood all the misery and abuse I had punished them with for 20 years I would still be out there on the court beating up on that yellow fuzzy ball with that opponent on the opposite court. Would love to feel the thrill of hearing those words again - game, set, match just one more time.

Would love to wake up without feeling stiff in the bones and joints. It takes a while to get the body going again each day. At this age, this seems to be rather common.

I would love to be able to go and play 18 holes of golf, swim with the dolphins again, dance all night with a great partner....etc., etc., etc. Too many to decide on just one for I loved so many different things that just isn't present in my life now. But....no regrets!

Shar, I'm with you about waking up without the stiffness and joint pain. That would be great! Other than that I'm still doing what I enjoy - playing my clarinet in 30-40 band concerts a year! Our New Horizons band (mostly, but not all, retirees)just played a joint concert with some great high school students, the cream of the crop of all the high schools in our county at Wake Forest University. It was a wonderful bridging of the generations and such fun. Tell all of the youngsters you know to keep playing their music, it keeps you young and is something one can do all their lives! And if they don't play an instrument you are never too old to learn - we have people in our bands who have just started to play as well as former professional musicians, also some folks who play an instrument and are learning to play a different one.

I'm really fortunate in that I don't suffer a whole lot with pain, but I sure would like to be able to run again. Not really fast or far, just a little Haven't been able to since I had all this steel put in my leg and hip.

What I need most to do is something I never did before...I dream of finding a husband who whould cherish me as much as my dad cherished my mother, one who wouldn't try to control everything I did and felt, one who cared about my feelings and my kids' feelings more than his...God is looking for this man for me. If He wants me to have one like this, he will find him and point him out without beating around the bush.

Exactly what I am doing right now. I have wonderful memories of dancing with those tight-jeaned cowboys, competition roller skating, competition dancing, long hikes to find the perfect camping spot, walking the runway, flying through clouds, kissing all the boys...well, maybe I'll like to do that a few more times!

Oh, GentleBear, you put the whip cream on the marvelous Sundae of life. I was going to say Banana Split but felt that was too salacious.

one last time I would like to sing until dawn, dance all night and still be able to get up early and start all over again. I still sing and dance till dawn, it is the getting up early that gets me. LOL Everyone has a once last thing they would like to do honestly in their heart. Mine would really be to hold my Husband in my arms one last time and tell him how much I really loved him. But he is in heaven and I am here so I am happy and dance till dawn.

...I would love to have one more time -- a conversation with my DaD.
We would talk about sooooo many things....Politics, current events, History, Religion,...
We could even have good conversations about music..(even tho, he couldnt carry a tune in a bucket..

He was a very wise man & loved his children dearly...I miss him, his voice & laughter..

I guess I am getting sentimental here - but - one more conversation ........

Thank you, Spinn! You just brought back a lovely memory ... of my Father singing (poorly), "I Dream of Jeanne with the Light Brown Hair" when I would enter the room.

What a nice thought!

I would love one more time with a dear friend, to name just one, that has passed away in his 40's. He was very close to me even when we were across country from one another, many years ago. What wonderful memories.

Edited because of a type=o missed the first time around

Well said. I am sure able to relate to the memories and I, too, thank God for them.
