But I have fun collecting and it is something to pass down to my grandkids. Also collect writing pens, people I know get me one when they go to different places. Would like to put them on the wall like wallpaper to display them. Any ideas on how to do this???

Fabric of all kinds . My motto was "too much is not enough" ha ha I used to joke that I had more fabric than WalMart. Since Ive been into sewing and crafting for so many years, I have collected enought to fill two bedrooms and forty big plastic tubs in the two car garage. I never thought that I could or would ever give up one little scrap. Now that Ive decided to have a new life .......... Im selling all of it it a big garage sale. I also collect old buttons and "other" stuff . Im getting rid of all of it .

like whidbey, i collect shells too. and agates. plus other different interesting things i may find on the beach. i usually can't leave a beach without taking a part of it with me. The shells and agates are reminders of the time i spent at the beach. I had an opportunity to go to Mexico last spring break and the first thing i did was pick up shells, albeit they were tiny ones. i enjoy them for they take me back to the time i was there walking on the beach.

Hi Pat, no, i have not made a frame out of the shells. but, i have seen it done before by several people. I usually put them in baskets, etc. and they are sitting outside my door by a bench. I may try the shells around frames one of these days though.

I was collecting depression era glass, and the why was I thought the colors were wonderful and looked so pretty. Mixed and matched on the table made a really nice setting. Now I find I don't have the display room so I'm thinking of selling it all excluding a few peices that were in my family.

And I kind of got hooked on old oil lamps and pitchers, and white and blue stoneware.
B&H oil lamps are my favorite if I can find them.

Why.........MEN .....of course

They are so much easier to find. Often they can be seen just sitting still and captured quite easily with a smile. If they try to get away or resist, there are always handcuffs. They are much easier to display too. Try to only display one at a time and usually it doesn't require any kind of special display stand. Any piece of comfortable furniture will work adequately as long as in front of a TV. The unfortunate part about this collection is that they do require a good bit of attention at times and always cost more and more to maintain. They don't age very well either. Therefore, you will have to get new ones as the old lose their luster. I, personally, think it's best to get not such an antiquated model for several reasons. One...they show better. Two..they last longer. And three..all your friends will be envious.
Happy collecting
