I'm with scuffer on this one.
But I have to get some clarity, After he gave you the cell number... Did you call it ?
If you did and he has ignored you then move on.
If you haven't called it then call it right a way... maybe to late now anyway.
Not driving shouldn't be a reason to not date you.

Now from a guys point of view. Not a driver, can be worked around. I have given my number to some and then never have got a call.Got a call form one that I never gave it to tho. If I had cared to the point that I gave you a number to call and never did well you could be history. Just give it a call and try to talk and explane what happened. How long did the wait take place 10 Min. or a houre.

Well, ok, I was hoping some other major leaguers would've stepped in and been the d*ck here, but I guess I'm the real big gun in that department, so... (huffs)
If I were dating a girl, and she said "I don't drive" I...I would start laughing. I mean, unless you're all ready living with me, or just down the street, are we going to do, here?? Yeah, they're trying to be sweet; you might've just given yourself an enema on that one.
But hey, the truth--you did the right thing. What were you going to do?--NOT mention it? Oh, smooth.. Yeah, they'd love ya' for that. It's one thing if you're 16. The world don't offer up much forgiveness at this stage of the game (just thank Chr*st you're a woman; a guy that doesn't drive? Oh, yay!--lets hear it for eternal masturbation.)
If you were late? Not cool. Yup, sh*t happens, and you'll know right away how "forgiving" or maybe just "gullible", depending, your date is. If he gave you his number, well...hell, that's like an angel's raised hand--and if you haven't called, you not only dropped the ball, you just balled yourself; bad! The best you can do now is sing the song of seven swans, and hope he's really down on his dating luck (good state to be in for that kind of miracle..)
Try calling in the evening; despite all those applications for the Morningwood Lumber Co., most guys are probably at the most irrational after 7:00 p.m.
**Best of luck.
