For all of you who have a difficult time reading long text, you probably lugged those huge college text with remorse and resentment! If you even made it that far. And for a reality check, many of our beloved scholars and poets, writers and screen writers never stopped or worried if others could keep up or had the intellect or depth to go the distance. Some of their writings were short and some lengthy in text, as well as deep in content. No matter. They wrote for themselves. Eclectic and intrinsically different from the rest, desiring for a way to be understood all the while knowing they would always be seen as outcast. Not until years or decades later did a few begin to understand, peal back the layers of the writers pages and begin to see the machine and mystical or alchemistic proponents of the artist mind or genius. Its a liberation of sorts to write, and yes, I hope that a glimmer of connection to some of my writing is found in some of you. This is my way out, my rabbit hole to a world saturated in color or non color, images and blank spaces, the devil and God. All of you have one of these rabbit holes, whether you realize you go there or not, its there, just beyond sleep, just under the veil of a day dream, when your eyes leave this reality and drift off, and everything stands still, time is irrelevant and all things are possible! I just choose to write about what I see and feel so some of my Odyssey is captured and is transferred on paper. On another level--Thank God for Sugar Hill and Queen and their epic lyricism!!! If they never put their lengthy lyrics on vinyl where the hell would we be!! Love it!!!! Peace! For those of you who love to write, never stop and for those of you who can't seem to hold on till the end, don't forget to take a trip down that tunnel once in a while. Peace and Blessings!

This would have done well in General Discussion or even the Writing Forum, just saying. I take issue with the backhanded jab about reading long text. It is not that it is difficult, it is just that some of us do not want to read an essay which at its best is bombastic and at its worst just words taking up space on a page. Your assumptions are just that assumptions and I will give them the amount of scrutiny they deserve. Have a nice day, now.

Actually, authors do indeed write for their audience and strive to be understood. They don't just write to prove they know flowery words and how to string them together in a sentence. Otherwise they'd be thumbing their noses at the people whom they'd wish would read their work.

And by the way, it's 'peel' not 'peal' in the context in which you mean it. And it's not its. Its is possessive, it's is a contraction.
