Idk if its just me or what, but I've noticed the older I've gotten the more it hurts when getting a tattoo..
I got my first one when I was 18 on my left ankle and that didn't hurt at all, but I just recently got one on my right ankle and that one hurt a lil bit...
My 2nd one I got on my lower back didn't hurt @ all when I was younger and when I recently got one right below it(a tramp stamp) that one hurt to..
Am I on my own here or has anyone noticed that too??

Every tattoo artist has a different technique. The way he drags the needle or needle depth I've been gettin tattooed since I was 16 I have 106 tatts they all felt different so no not age related

I haven't really stayed with the same tattoo artist.. Just recently I like the guys work that has done the last 3 tattoos of mine..

I have had four tattoos all by two by the same artist and the other two not. The two that were the same artist...one hurt way more than the other. I think it just depends on where you get it. My ankle hurt way more than the inside of my wrist, and the one on my chest hurt more than the one on my lower back.

Your welcome hun. The three artists were at the same shop though. I have gotten all my tats there cuz I love the environment plus they charge reasonable prices.

I've got 7 tats, soon to be 8. I've had them all done by the same guy and the only one that hurt the worst the first time around was the clover on my breast. Tattooing over scar tissue hurts sooo bad...

I have a very high tolerance to pain. The only tat that bugged me was on my neck, and it wasn't becuse of the pain. The vibration from the gun was in my ear and it tickled like hell. Not easy to sit still. Thank gawd it was just a small one. lol

Well for me first tat put me to sleep, the 3rd got rid ofa 4 day headache, but to me none of themnever really hurt at all, got 8

they didn't. The one on my hand stung a little, but thats not the same. I'm sure when I get more sensative areas iinked it might be different, but so far, no biggie.

girl, i have been tattoo ing for the last 5 years now.. aga, i dont think realy matters that much.. the thing that does is, the location of where you get ur ink.. like the ribs , underneath ur arm and the sternum.. those r the worst places , that i have found to get ink.. even tho i dont have any ink in them places.. hope this will eas ur mind.. and help you on getN more ink.. cause it truely is an addiction!! lol..

It's ALL about the location.... I can sit for 5 hours straight working on my arm but the back of my neck I was done at 2 hours and the inside of my finger... holy shit batman... 5 seconds into it I was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME lol

This last one I got seemed to hurt a little more, but I don't remember the guy digging in as far as this guy did.
