its hard to understand ur question, its like asking "what if u had a black shoe that was white". if my black shoe was white it would be a white shoe, if my religion didnt have a heaven or a reincarnation it would be a completely different religion than the one i believe in.
i'll try to answer u, and hope it covers what ur asking. if my religion suddenly had no heaven or reincarnation; i would still follow the same moral and religious tenets that were left in the religion because i think they would help me to be a better person and to contribute in a positive way even if this is the only life there is. i would still be grateful to the father/mother god for the time i had here; the people i met, the lessons i learned, the loves and hates, the dreams and aspirations. if i only had one life i could at least try to leave the world better than i found it for those who follow, so they could live their one life with less of the strife that we have today.

Outstanding. Such a thing shows great character in one's self.

I would have to ask what "his" purpose was since I don't see one bit of evidence that he interacts in our lives.

Well, sometimes back in da day, I would veiw us as some kind of reality TV show for the great and powerful "god". Like we were just a form of complex entertainment. To interact would take away the "real" aspect of it. But it's just the same as there being no god present at all.
