I am a single mom and have been for a little over a year now. I don't like it and don't know of anyone that does. I was in a relationship with my sons father for 5 years and it was hard when we split up. But I believe there is someone out there that I am meant to be with. The hard part is finding them!  All things happen for a reason, you may not understand the reason or know the reason but they do! I am still waiting to find the right person!

I believe we are all on here looking for either our "life partner" "true love" or something that we must feel our life is missing. I know I don't want to grow old alone, and I don't want to spend the rest of my time here alone. I know we as a society have accepted "giving up" much to fast or should I say we have become the throw away society when we don't like something we throw it away, even our relationships. What is the saddest consequence of our fast pace, throw away, society is our kids are paying the price. We've shown them how to model our examples.

I think most of us are looking for that special partner to share our lives with, but some are not willng to compromise one inch. I believe we need to remember that instead of looking for that special partner, first we need to be that special partner.
