Jan...if you are comfortable with the way you look, and have the legs to pull it off...go for it. Those foolish set of rules in regard to fashion and age...are dated and yes..foolish. I see women that supposedly dress for their age...and if you ask me, they look their age, if not older....does the wordy frumpy give you a visual? I wear short skirts and dresses...and I wear styles below the knee...even a bikini when I am at my parents...a regular two piece on the public beach and I will continue to do these things, until, when I look in the mirror, I see where it is inappropriate.

I see your point and feel you are correct in saying that.

jan, if it makes you feel good about yourself wearing short skirts then by all means do so. I'm of the opinion they're best left to younger ladies that have the entire fresh package to put on display.
For me, feeling and looking sexy does not manifest itself in showing lots of skin, just a little of it. The way you carry and present yourself (man and woman) is very sexy to me

I say be who you are and don't worry about what others think, more then likely they are jealous that they can't do it. And on occasion when I have gone to a beach, I have seen people that I thought were dressed for Halloween, but it was the wrong season. Sunny

Bottom line, what every makes you feel good about yourself, is RIGHT for you.
One suggestion, would be to lose the M/M EARS. Love the pic

But, at the same time... it does put your youthful spirit on display (along with the mouse-ears )... if you still have the shape for it... (looks like you do...)

I'll save myself the embarrasment and you fellas the laugh by wearing my skirts to the knee. I think fashion is a matter of personal taste and shape, with the emphasis on shape.

Jan-
I see nothing wrong with wearing mouse ears and a short skirt in public...lol.
Seriously, if you have the legs and the self-confidence, go for it.
