Hey Guys,
I'm in the Baltimore/Annapolis area. Are there any folks on this board who can recommend cool places to go and meet people? I'm not necessarily looking for a !@#$ buddy. Instead, I'd just like to meet people, enjoy their company and maybe make some friends in the process. Ideas? I'd really appreciate them.

Everyone suggests them. But, I have called my local chapter at least 10 times in the last 4 years and I have NEVER gotten a response. I get the feeling that they would want me around if I was a man. You know what I mean? Maybe I'll try again.

I'm a single guy and I go to the theatre, museums, jazz clubs, sightseeing tours, bowling, comedy clubs, dinner theatre.....etc. You have to let your imagination take you where you want to go. and your concious to where to meet the kind of people you want to meet. If you go to the bar, that's the kind of folks you will meet!

it might sound really old fashion, but I go to Church as often as I can......there ALWAYS seems to be someone there who is also looking for friends as well as other things.....Of course, you have to find a church that is right for you, and not go JUST for hooking up!

i meet people every where. in a parking lot or in a store or while i'm driving. there are people every where. just talk when u see someone you like. i just met a person when i was at work carrying a very heavy box and told him he should carry it for me and he did. people are every where. i can't stress that enough.

Just my two cents....
Do the things that you like to do. That is the best way to run into someone who is going to have similar interests and "goals". The number one building block in a relationship.
If you go to "singles" events you may only find other people who came to "singles" events looking to "score". I like the gym, library, Panera, sporting events, book stores (readings) etc. If I see someone I want to talk to I approach and say hello. If they "blow me off" oh well.

You should meet someone off this site and plan a day date but for friendship only and just have fun and if it does't work out that way at least you have the rest of the day to enjoy , Goodluck ,,
