Do you believe that man/woman is meant to be alone or should he/she have there help/soul mate. I have been on my own now for 21 years and often wonder if I am meant to be alone for the rest of my life. I enjoy being by myself although at times I struggle with being on my own . I know that God is with me but the companionship would be nice. The word tells me it is not good for man to be alone but is there any true ones out there.

sometimes i think we are meant to be alone,,iv'e been alone now for over 5 years.
i like it tooo but it can really get boreing.

I've been alone for over 8 yrs but have never felt lonely nor alone.
I never feel empty nor incomplete.
I've also noticed that I don't feel as if there's anything missing in my life.
But what I do feel always and know is that God does not want me (nor anybody) to be alone and He will pair me with my soul mate when He says I'm good and ready for the lifelong commitment, until then, I will continue to live my life and work towards becoming the human being God expects me to be and keep strengthening my faith, obedience, gratitude, expectancy and my focus on God as I know He will reward me with my soul mate once I pass all of His tests!

it is hard to be alone sometmes. i cannot speak into all situations but for me this has been a time of getting to know me and what i am made of. i have been officially single for 7 yrs. but some of my marrried yrs were spent single it seems. for the first time in 7 yrs i have been thinking about a mate again. i know one thing, i can't or won't make it happen. this is truly an area where i want God's HELP. i am to old to make another mistake LOL

Same here--i AM waiting on the Lord this time,as I've done my own thing before and it didn't work too well--so am praying every day for my soul-mate and help-mate.
I just hope he hurries---before I reach 100--lmbo--God bless you--hugs--lotsa

Like you all, I've been single for a very long time. I do not feel alone (although there are the moments of lonesomeness)but I do feel incomplete sometimes. Is He testing us? Probably. I've come to understand that I would not bring enough into a man/woman relationship at this time in my life. And that's ok. I will await His choosing, cuz I sure didn't do very well when I choose.

I do think he want us to have a mate'But I have seen some set there self
aside for servic into the Lord and that is there choise.GOD may have somethings
for you to do first then send you your mate.

Some have the belief that in order to fulfill God’s calling that they stay single in order to concentrate on His calling; usually Monks and Nunn’s. God gave woman to man as a helper, not a slave to rule over. If man needs help, then it goes to say that women do also. God has that special one lined up for all of us, we just need to trust. He may have something for us to do first. We need to pray and listen. Some one posted that we need to pray for our new mate, not pray for a new mate. That special someone may be a person we never expected.

I have been divorced now for 22 years, it was a struggle for the first 15 years raising 5 boys by myself and for that reason I never felt alone. I have only started recently thinking about having a mate in my life. Someone to spend the rest of my life with. I love to dance and it would be nice to have someone there to be my partner. I too, have put my faith and trust in the Lord. If it is meant to be, he will let it happen. I am glad I still have 1 son still living with me and we do a lot of things together but he also needs to find his soulmate. I am proud to say I am buying a small home and moving soon. I have rented for the last 22 years and it will be great to have a home of my own finally. We will all find that special someone when the time is right. It is O.K. to be single in todays society, no one looks at you like you are an Old Maid. They include you in all activities whether you have a mate or not. If I am meant to be alone for the rest of my life, that is O.K. also, because I enjoy my life just the way it is.......Dolly

i just started reading God's Ultimate Passion by frank viola i believe is hisname. get that book!!! the first few pages regarding how God created everything, adam named them and they all had a mate, except him. the lonliness that adam felt. but the passion of God to show compassion for adam is awesome. He had finished His creation, but one for time for adam He created again. a mate for adam. read the book you will love it.
