I believe it's all about the context of the comments. Harmless fun, with trust and communication vs. flirting with intent in front of your girlfriend/date's face.
With my ex husband...he and I could joke around and point out hot or not (similar to ge0ge0) and have a laugh about it. You've likely all heard the saying before...you can read the menu, but don't sample or order! I never felt threatened, nor did he. He is a musician and had/has women offering all kinds of lovely acts at any time, whether I was present or not was really not relevant to them...but I knew he wouldn't act on those offers. BUT...my ex boyfriend that followed, totally different story...he was ALWAYS commenting on every woman he saw and chatting them up and acting like a complete ASS every time we were out. His own brother told him off one night..."you are here with the hottest woman in the place....and you leave her to hit on some bimbo right in front of her???" That is just ridiculous and completely inconsiderate!! Needless to say, no more boyfriend!! Loser!

You know the guy your with (or you should anyway).
My husband and I were married 27 yrs, not a jealous bone in our bodies. Attraction to beautiful things in general in normal. I would point out a really beautiful woman to him lots of times. He never had to worry about looking at another woman because he knew I was secure in our relationship. That went both ways. And we also discussed what we liked about that person sometimes.
I hate it when on a date, and this has happen, that the guy I am with sees a really attractive woman and very obviously turns his head to avoid looking at her.
Now maybe he is doing this because he is trying to be respectful to me, but it comes across as guilt, or a false gesture because I know if I was not there he would get a real good look at her. It's normal to look, and honest to comment.
Everyone here is looking for honesty, but expect the person they are with to behave differently in their presence, is that being honest?
I hope the guy I am with knows how to appreciate beauty, and knowing he's with me is a compliment. So, I guess we all see things differently.
