I learned the technique that shaman wrote of with some differences. There were seven numbers before the 10 steps, each number had a color. at the bottom of the steps you just release yourself and feel back into the darkness. You emerged in a different place. It has been a while since I practiced it but if I'm right the colors coincided with the chakra colors.

I did the stair thing and what I did was step out in the universe. It was so breathtakingly beautiful. I do not mean like looking at the night sky, more like I was somehow able to see it like I was out there in it.

Physics, palm reading, telling the future....

This happened when I was 29 years old-----and single

I once was visiting a new friend and she mentioned that her older sister (about35 yrs old)was a physic. I met the sister and shook her hand. The sister, Caroline, askedme if Iwould let her read my palm. I was very skeptical about this, but I agreed and kept my thoughts to myself. This new friend didn't know anyting about me---I had just moved to the area.

She told me that I had just experienced the most devastating thing that had ever happened to me a few months before. She said that even tho I was single, by the time I was 32, I would have met and married and would have a son with a man I had yet to meet.
She told me the man's name was Dave.

Soo, I thought about this later and knew she was right. I had lost both my mom and dad within 3 weeks of each other the same month, same year---just 3 months before Caroline read my palm. I buried them side by side. A month later, I met a man at work, his name was Dave. We were together for a year before he asked me to marry him. We had a son, I named him Dave and I was just a few months short of 32 years old.

Her name is Caroline Casey and she has written several books. I called her 25 years later, found her still living in the same house (!) and she remembered me right away. She asked how my son was before I told her I had had Dave.....

Strange days indeed.

Very valid stuff, thanks for sharing. I tend to use Runes and Tarot myself. But in reality it is just a tool to focus an individuals energy.

I have used the Rider-Waite and Alister Crowly's Thoth. I gave them away when I felt that I no longer needed them.

I have two favorite decks one was a Celtic deck, I don't remember if it had a name, it went somewhere or I would check. The other is the Haindl deck, it blends a lot of the world Mythos, very powerful.
I have used the I Ching with great sucess, I have also used the Toltec book as well, the name escapes me at the moment.
Death, it is not that I need them, every now and then I use them for myself just to check up on things. Runes are great in y/n situations. But most people cannot handle me just sitting down in front of them and doing a reading with pin point accuracy without a deck or some other 'reason' for my being able to do it. It opens many doors brother.

Tarot....

I have two decks: The Merlin Tarot (which is my favorite) and the Cosmic Tribe which is stunning. My best readings come off the Merlin deck.

I have thirteen decks. My favorite is the Secret Dakini Oracle, followed by the Morgan Greer deck and the Voyager deck. I used to read cards for others and a couple of people became angry when what the cards said came true. They are only tools for showing where we are headed and that can be changed. An old clairvoient (spelling) lady first taught me how to read cards. I also had a friend who was quite talented at reading them, much better than I was, my opinion. I don't read them as frequently as I used to.

I have used the I Ching, Rune stones and pendulums, thought they also gather mostly dust on my shelves anymore. For questions about my health I use a form of kineseolgy to ask my body questions about that subject. I do use this quite often.

I rarely read them. If anything they are only used for clarity...and typically when I use them for clarity it is only to confirm something I already know but am denying deep down inside.

I will read for others who have valid concerns. And they are wonderful meditative tools. The Priestess card in my Merlin deck...she has taught me a lot by just being there.

Tarot cards can also be useful if you happen to have an emotional block.
