I believe the translators meant for us to read that Jesus went to Hell before his spiritual resurrection as a tool so to speak that we as the body of Christ will know that there are two realms ...one is victoriuous the other is not.
It seems to me there is a lot of realitivity in the transcribing the two Latin and Hebrew and other into the American English.
Does that make sense to anyone ??
