to trust anyone, because of things from the past?
i was talking to a friend of mine.... and yeah he told me..... he will never be in a relationship again because he can't trust girls... now he just went through a really rough divorce... but still.... i mean there are times that i see red flags thrown up because of past experiences... but, i still usually give them half a chance....

I find most people will try again,
however one should also have dealt with past relationships - what was good,
what wasn't, what to do differently next time, how to choose a better match.
Your friend probably needs some time alone (not in a relationship) to sort
out his hurt feelings, and heal from his disappointment, sadness, anger, whatever
his emotions are. Then slowly he will probably give someone else a chance.
At his age, he is unlikely to call it quits for good!

People make blank statements when they are hurting but I know they are hurting and once healed they will not feel the same. My past marriages I could of thrown in the towel and think all men are going to abuse me. I was not seeing with my head but with my heart. My eyes got cloudy from the words I wanted to hear and it was music to my ears and so I couldn't see. I can't generalize all men in the same category as the men in my past and I certainly wouldn't want it done to me. I think I have learned from my past mistakes to not repeat. I like to believe that in everyone there is a gentleness inside of them that is wanting the same thing as me ... love.

ok thats all well and good but how do you find the right one when you dont think that theres one out there for you and how do you let the past go so it will be a good relatnship?i my self have been looking for about 10 years and came to say i need help todays are not ez to find someone that will be there in the bad and in the good.

You gotta just throw caution in the wind and stop worrying about the "ifs" and "Buts",... If "ifs" and "buts" were berries and nuts we'd all have a wonderful christmas..
Sometimes u have to just hang it out there; take the seat belt off and let happen what ever happens. Else one day you'll be on your death bed kicking urself for being to cautious and worried to enjoy life as it is..

i hope it just happens when it happens. i know i've got this nagging alarm buzzing inside my head/heart when I'm around anyone I'm interested in. I hope that noise stops eventually (it's f-ing annoying). I figure though when the time is right and I meet someone genuine it'll fade. Until then I guess I ought to think of it as a reminder of lessons learned, and half-way appreciate it.

This ain't my first rodeo by I do know one thing for sure, I wouldnt ride the same bull that just threw a minute ago, and the next one might be worse, But I'll be damned if I gonna quit riding just cause I got a lousy draw on the last ride. For those of you who Don't rodeo it simply means I don't give up just because of what happened last time I just try to pick better this time Life itself is a gamble, but the right pay off will make it worth it, no matter how many hands you get delt
